In short: Brilliant race In full: This is actually the 2012 review, but there's no option for it. Anyway, my first Bradley Stoke 10K, and I thought it was fab. Great start, lots of parking and toilets with reasonable queues, as well as shelter for runners and supporters. The course was really good, who knew that Bradley Stoke had such good trails to run on? Well I do now. It was slightly challenging at times with some hills, but nothing that should put off a first time runner. There was some mud, but not too much, just enough for dirty trainers. The marshalling was excellent and there was quite a bit of support around the course. There seemed to be a good mix of serious club runners and normal runners. A fab goodie bag and technical t-shirt at the end, as well as a banana and use of the indoor facilities were available. It's not the cheapest 10K, but good value as the organisation and freebies are excellent. The only downside is that my chip time and my own time were wildly inaccurate. A great race overall, would definitely do it again. Date of review: June 3, 2012

In short: Excellent In full: When I looked out at the rain I nearly went back to bed. Surprised ti see such an amazing turn out. Organisation was fantastic and marshalls you were suffering the sideways rain for twice the time of us runners but you shouted and cheered us all the way. Truly special day Date of review: June 15, 2011

In short: 2nd run of this course, Angelic marshalls in a downpour In full: Even though it was raining cats and dogs, great marshalls, good fun course, well run with decent support, goody bags and parking. Once again well done Sole Sisters. Date of review: June 14, 2011

In short: Very impressed In full: This was my first ever race and it seemed very well organised despite the appalling weather conditions. The marshalls were excellent as it was quite twisty/turning route across several roads (much to the annoyance of the local drivers held up it in it). The cheering crowd support was brilliant which really helped especially with the weather conditions. Quite slippery & treacherous in the mud but that couldnt be helped. Really pleased with my goody bag & tshirt, I feel like proper runner now & looking forward to doing another event & will be back next year. Date of review: June 13, 2011

In short: Quite simply a fantastic race! In full: A really good course, pretty much flat so loads of PB potential. The marshals were really great, you couldn’t get lost or take a wrong turn and they were so encouraging. The water bottles at the water stations were much better than cups. Well organised, no need to worry about traffic. Nice t-shirt. Overall a fantastic race that I would recommend. Date of review: June 13, 2011

In short: My first 10K race, will be back next year. In full: The weather couldn't have been worse for my first 10K race, but the fabulous marshalls positioned at very regular intervals did a great job keeping spirits up, it would have been a lot harder without their support. I'm looking forward to next year. Date of review: June 12, 2011

In short: sole sisters...showed their metal this year!! In full: It's all very well organising a road race in glorious weather....as has been the case in previous Bradley Stoke 10k's...but what are sole sisters like when the rain and wind arrive and turn a summer day into the middle of winter!!....Indeed what poor souls (i'll try not to use that word again :) ) come out on a bad day to run at 9.30 in the morn...lots and lots as it turns out. As always the organization was impeccable and the atmosphere was electric!! you could not move in the jubilee cente....perhaps because it was raining! but nevertheless it was heaving with runners. Support as always on the course was fantastic, Bradley Stoke by nature of it's terrain requires a lot of marshalls and they were out in abundance. In conclusion you passed with flying colours ladies you excelled yourself organising a race in the mud wind and rain of a British Summers...well done!! i'll be back next year for a top or the range t shirt and a few more bananas..but I do hope the sun shines :)) Date of review: June 12, 2011

In short: Fabulous organisation In full: The weather couldn't have been much worse, but that didn't dampen the spirits of the excellent marshalls. The convoluted route meant that there were marshalls everywhere, I was impressed that they were all smiling and some were even clapping whilst holding a brolly! The wet weather meant that it was a little slippy under foot, but warnings of upcoming conditions were plentiful. Thank you to everyone who got soaked this morning so that we could run. In short: My new favourite 10 k! In full: Such a shame about the weather - the only thing you can't do anything about! That said - very well organised - pick up chip at the start - plenty of loos (important to us obsessed ladies!)-easy over the start. Bearing in mind how hideous the weather was today hats off to the marshalls who dragged themselves out on a soggy Sunday morning and did a fantastic job-both directing and encouraging - thanks alot!! Good techy t-shirt at the end and I know my doogy will be fighting me for the frisbee! Will definately see you next year and will do a sun dance for you!! :) Date of review: June 12, 2011
