In short: Nice 'local' race, partial trail, good marshals, excellent prizes, spot prices and customised medals depending on finishing position!
In full: I very much enjoyed this race and will make a point of attending it again next year. The location was very pretty and quick to get to plus there was a park cafe and toilet/changing facilities we could use.

There were plenty of marshals at all the key points and I loved how encouraging they were. The route took you through a 'trail' area which was a wonderful change to scenery and kept the 2-loop route interesting.

What I really loved was a) the spot prizes upon finish (got a box of chocolates!) b) the custom medals by finish time/spot (1st, 2nd, 3rd position and Top 50 finishers).

The results are available the next morning and as there was a photographer on the course, I am expecting photos as well.

Overall, great, welcoming atmosphere and very well organised. Well done!

In short: wet and windy park run!
In full: I had a nice 9 mile run to the start and then got soaked. After breaking my leg a few months ago, it was pleasing to get into 7 min miling for the first time in a while.

In short: Well organised, friendly, PB potential, happy organisers.
In full: In my quest for MORE medals than my friends, I did the trick of keeping my intentions quiet and applying on the day. My 12 yr old son, inspired by an 8 yr old at the Harvel 5, said he wanted to do one - so we picked this one (we brought his mate too). Staff were happy if I stayed with them. Late entry no problem. Weather cool, wet. Planning was very good (despite the old guy doing the start failing to work the megaphone). Route was very pleasant - round the park, through the woods (twice). Not too challenging for me. Marshals were very encouraging (especially the female marshall in the woods towards my son - I think it must have been because of his blonde curly locks that caught her eye!!). I stayed at the boys pace and gave them tips all the way. They didn't stop and came in at a bril time of 44 minutes - one of the boys getting a spot prize too. Bedraggled but chuffed with their medals, I think my son might have caught the running bug! Thanks to the organisers and marshals and spectators on what would have been a wet cold morning for them.

In short: Cool, wet lovely for running but terrible for spectators
In full: Nice course in and out of woods and around the park. Well-marshalled, I also like the orange spray-painted tree roots and stumps! Pity the official results aren't available sooner. Maybe the club website could say when results are expected?
