In short: Very testing
In full: The course is hilly and so makes it very testing. The weather this year was hot and due to the high hedges not much breeze about. The event is very well organised although the car park could have been sign posted better as it was altered from last year. But again the event was a great success.

In short: Hilly and hot
In full: An "undulating" course on a rather warm day (!) Had fun with some not too careful drivers and a few maniacs on bicycles- but a great atmosphere and some lovely food and music at the finish. Thanks to a couple of locals and their garden hoses on route- a few of us plodders at the back were suffering with the full on sunshine. Great to be able to pop into the leisure centre for a shower afterwards as well. Well done to anyone who got a PB on the course!

In short: A sunny ten miles of beautiful scenery with plenty of elevation to keep you working hard.
In full: The biggest distance I’ve run so far and with a gulp I realised I’d taken on somewhat of a challenge.
I’m pleased to say the hills and heat didn’t stop this being a fantastically scenic 10-mile route and a really enjoyable run. Plenty of water stations, cheerful and friendly marshals and a few hosepipe/sprinklers on route, which were bliss!
Great pre and post race atmosphere with beer and a band. I made use of the free swim after the run ....heavenly and extremely relaxing, wish I could wrap up all events like that.

My only two negatives, no small t-shirts left by the time I came in, so it felt like I’d been penalised for doing the longer course. I know the event paperwork said to get in quick to get the correct size t-shirt but I find that a bit unfair. I registered and paid my money early and I arrived in plenty of time on race day, so it’s a shame I couldn’t have collected a t-shirt before the race. It’s true I could have taken a larger size but where’s the point if they don’t fit. Hey ho, after all I didn’t run for the t-shirt.
I also received loads of other competitors e-mail addresses when I was contacted so I’m guessing mine went out to everyone too. I don’t remember authorising my e-mail details to be distributed like that.

Overall the day was great, really good fun and the hills were memorable but that’s part of the pleasure. Thank you to the event organisers, it was definitely worth a jaunt down the M5 to take part in this event.

In short: A hot one but still a great event
In full: My first race for two months and slightly out of shape. A glorious day although the latter inclines were hard work. Brilliant organisation and a great 10 mile race. The finish was celebrated with a pint of Tribute. Thanks to organisers for another great day. See you again next year.

In short: Very well organised, beginner friendly and hilly
In full: A ten mile and ten km run. Very well organised and supported locally. I seem to only remember the up hill bits, but I am sure there were down hill bits as well. It can get very hot as it is run along roads with high hedges. Definatly not PB but a very good, friendly first race.
