In short: Good fun run, but terrible terrain!
In full: I ran because I support the HAS, so would do it again just for that. Organisation a bit chaotic at start and some course marshals better than others (one pointed me in the wrong direction as too busy sending text message!) More route marking would have been helpful, and mile indicators - particularly near end as I'd no idea how close I was to finish. More of a cross country run with very "rugged" track - quite dangerous in places with hidden holes, dips, tree roots etc,not to mention cow poo! Everyone I saw ended up walking in parts to avoid potential injury! Due to route, not much chance for supporters to cheer, but when they did, they were great. Great cheer too from organisers at end, but literally only for last few yards as until then, you're weaving in and around trees etc - then suddenly you're out in the field and a few yards from the finish. That said, (and don't know how),but managed to get around much faster than anticipated, so had good time.

In short: Enjoyable despite the extremely slippery clay in places
In full: I'm not a big fan of x-country but was tempted by this race as it was short, near where I live and in a Country Park I used to work at. About a third of the multiple lap route is on an offroad cycle track with this year slippery wet clay to slip on and to nick your trainers - it was hilarious! The rest of the course is on undualting meadow which gives you time to recover for the next round of clay madness. In drier conditions a decent time could be had but this year was a bit of fun! A well organised race in a scenic traffic free setting - recommended.

In short: I really like this run, well organised and fun.
In full: The wet weather made this tougher than it probably should be. Great fun and really friendly bunch of organisers.
