In short: A special race for me as it was my first event
In full: As somebody who stopped running 20 years ago, this was a very special event. I was guaranteed a PB of course! But to have got my first ever medal and finished only just outside the hour (1h 03m 17s) made it a fantastic morning! As for the event itself, I didn't find the course inspiring - it was just a route to achieve an end. And for the size of the pack I was surprised there was so little support on the way round. But it was well organised and easy for a first timer to get into the swing of how things happen. And it was just so, so exciting to have earned my first medal!

In short: Brilliant race thoroughly enjoyed it!
In full: Thanks to all involved, excellent race, I was 58secs of my PB but blame that on the hills! Friendly encouraging marshalls and quite a lot of on course support. Free t-shirt was a real bargain, goody bag was excellent, plenty of toilets, and parking made life much easier. Thanks!

In short: well organised lack of atmosphere
In full: well organised, lack of atmosphere, some marshals not cheering runners on but busy talking, not how marshal!
scenery ok view of QE2 bridge but personally prefer country.
been to races in pouring rain (May Bank Holiday monday - Hatfield Broad Oak) with much better atmosphere so what was so hard on nice sunny day!

In short: I'd love to do this every year!
In full: Beautiful scenery(maybe not if you come from a countryside but definitely beautiful if you come from Central London) most of the way though this race is not PB potential.
I love the goody bag, t-shirt, and medal.
Easy access from central London, easy parking with no big traffic jam.
Only a little audience to cheer you but runners and organizers were in great mood.
Great shopping and dining afterwards. No race can be better than this!

In short: Enjoyed this year as much as last.
In full: Course still a little hilly for me but still managed to knock 2.5 mins of last year's time. Very well organised - shame the warm up people couldn't be seen by most of the runners waiting to start. Lots of water and Lucozade available. Nice early start - although getting out of bed at 5 am wasn't too nice! Very warm. Great goody bag and medal. Being near the shopping centre it is also lovely to have indoor, clean toilets to use and change in too rather than the portaloos. See you next year.

In short: I'll be back !!!
In full: first time at the bluewater 10k, easy parking, early 8am start was a good idea, meant i could leave with the wife and children before the shops opened at 11am, although 6am out of bed on fathers day wasn't welcomed.
the weather was very warm even at 8am, plenty of free Lucazade on offer, plenty of toilets when the Lucazade had started to work. The start was remote from the meeting area, loud speakers weren't loud enough, my children and wife took part in the 2k fun run which was kind of spoiled by the clash of the elite runners and the very slow fun runners after about 30mins, perhaps the finish needs making larger as the slower fun runners were shouted at very forcefully by the marshalls!!!
the scenery is urban but with great views of the QE2 bridge for part of the race. there was one hill to speak of, and continuous undulations along London road. those looking for spirit level flat routes would have been disappointed.
the warm up was very funny to watch, the female runners went at it with gusto, the men who bothered, kind of slowly one by one stopped shortly after starting.
the marshalling was good, especially after getting up so early. The joining of female and male runners at the first roundabout created a bottle neck, where you had to be very careful not to trip up other runners in front, any more entries and problems could have occured.
There was enough water at the stations, of which i used one for the first time, how do you drink whilst running from a bottle??
the championchip worked like a dream, the medal for the childrens fun run and the 10k was substancial, and the goody bags were also very good.
yes i'd do it again, hopefully next year without the remnants of 'manflu' and to get some handle on times and whether you slow down rapidly after passing 40yrs old.
i also raised over £700 towards The Anthony Nolan Trust in the process which was very gratifying, so thanks to all who sponsored me

In short: Good quick but challenging race!
In full: 2nd year of running this race and enjoyed it just as much - the new course was def better! Goody bag was good but why oh why is the T-shirt always an odd and oversized shape!!? Will be back next year as is good summer 10k race. :)
