In short: Glad I did it - I needed to prove to myself I could still doi 10K!
In full: Was surprised to have to pay to park out by the arena - pretty sure last time it was P&R, as were other runners, and there seemed to be no-one vaguely official around this year - not even car park marshals! The tram company have wised up too - buy tickets in advance, on the platform!

The run was good - as ever, a Great Run organised event, and nice to see the elite coming homeward whilst I was still running out (no, really!). Those little (?) hills at the end though - ugh.

In short: Still as tough as last year even with a flatter finish line!
In full: There was a change to the course this year with a dog-leg on Penistone Road that meant the finish line was on Arundel Gate next to the start line. However, it didn't make it any easier at the end so an improvement of 2 minutes 29 seconds on last year's time was very welcome. Maybe not as many runners as last year but nonetheless a well organised and fun event. The bands on the course certainly add atmosphere but I didn't hear many of them as I had Lady Gaga in my ears for most of the way.

This race ends my 2010 season and I'm still aching from the effort.

Recommended race.

In short: Great race on door step but bit pigged off with runners in Orange wave walking at 3k
In full: realy enjoyed this ..will always support races on my door step but like many others have said costs is pretty expensive. Even though people starting in Orange wave where slower than me did manage to get a PB so very prud of myself. Hvae doen this race since it started and had trained for the last 400 metres uphill so this paid off - though race photos not taken at the best places ..mainly on Commercial st ..not going to make much money off those I reckon.

In short: we did this as a family with 4 of us running, found the city warm and welcoming. agree about the road surfaces and the killer hill at the end on otherwise a fast course but the hill actually makes it special!!!!!! We will all be back. At 56 have foun

In short: Enjoy the route - mainly flat except for the hill at the end!
In full: This is the second year running I have done this race. It was fairly well organised for me but they do send the packs out very late. The start was ok but I always miss the warm up as its not well organised. Always seems to be a lack of toilets too (which dont have a huge queue). Route is enjoyable and goes fairly quick. Having the musicians is a nice touch and the run through shower was fun. The hill at the end isn't nice when you're worn out but its not enough to put me off. The bag I got at tne end had the wrong sized tshirt and 2 medals. My BUPA photos were poor...all taken on the hill, maybe not the best place. Quite expensive to take part in this but will probably do it again anyway.

In short: Start should have been marshalled better. Runners of all colours climbing fences to get to the front 2 pens.

In short: Good for a possible PB and a good atmosphere
In full: The start was a lot better than I remember previously, not as crammed in round the first corner.

Some of the music was poor especially the one between 8km and 9km, some lass making noises in a microphone, bizzare.

The drinks station was reasonably well organised.

As per everyone else, the road surface is appalling, but that's what you get on a main bus route.
