In short: A beautiful route, and a really friendly race In full: We did this race as we were away for the bank holiday- and were so glad we did! It was small and really friendly-feeling.
Underfoot there is a good muddy coastal cliff path, a little bit of road, and slate- so good trail shoes are a must! We got really beautiful views of the sea & bluebells. The course does a figure 8 so you can see any supporters mid-way,and people stayed around at the end to cheer the finishers in.
All this, and the lavatories were clean and pleasant to use. What more could you ask for? Date of review: May 28, 2014
In short: Great race in beautiful surroundings. In full: Have done this race a few times now and I still forget how hard the hills are - although they are compensated by the fun final descent! This is a really friendly race with stunning scenery and with great organisers. I even won a cake as part of the post race number raffle.
I can highly recommend this to all. Date of review: June 8, 2011
In short: friendly event, great scenery, well organised, can't go wrong In full: Second time I've done this, and it really is a lovely low key race. You're pretty much guaranteed of finishing in the top 100, and all the money raised goes to a good cause (a local hospice I think). Date of review: May 25, 2011
In short: Lovely low key event with stunning scenery and 'interesting' hills In full: Really enjoyable low key event (no memento), friendly & efficient organisers at which all were welcomed. I finished near the back (not many hills to practice on in Portsmouth), but great fun, even with the steps and hills around the Pembrokeshire coast path, and with scenery like this, it doesn't matter what time you finish in!
Definitely worth doing if you're on holiday in the area - and guaranteed PB material - how many other 4.6 mile races are there?? Date of review: June 1, 2009
