In short: Good - but some flaws
In full: I also got caught with on the day entry. So no pint or sandwich at the end! Also a very late start. So that was disappointing. Also I couldnt see any distance markers, although that may have been me! So I rounded a corner to see finish feeling pretty good not knowing I had 20 yards to go. Overall good, but have no idea what time I did. Times havent been published. Anyone know where they are?

In short: Expensive for a local charity race
In full: The race was fun.
They had a staggered start to group similar standard runners and to avoid congestion.
The website advertised a free sanwich and beer for all runners, what they missed out was that you weren't entitled to a sanwich and beer if you registered and paid for the race on the day.
£12.50 in all. I've been to charity runs for £6...So I was really looking forward to my sandwich and beer at the end, for that price.....a little disappointed.

In short: Another excellent, well organised race
In full: The only question I have with this race was that the 9km marker was so far away from the finish? Are you sure this wasn't 10.5k? A great race, well marshalled and well organised. Thanks for a great run

In full: Really well organized, informal and friendly charity race with free drink and sandwich at the pub at the end! Slight incline when running from trail to canal path, but otherwise flat and traffic free. Enjoyable run!

In short: Friendly, enjoyable, lovely setting
In full: Glorious weather and lovely setting made for a very enjoyable race. I ran the first one of these in 2007 and the organisation has really improved. The genuine enthusiasm and friendly attitude of the organisers makes for a great atmosphere and it's nice to run a 10k that is made up of a real mix of runners. I made this the centrepiece of a long training run and really enjoyed it. A huge thank you to the Marple Firefighters and all the volunteers who make this such a special event.
