In short: Loved it
In full: My first trial - now I'm hooked... Can't wait for next year, will train a bit more before hand too! Port-a-loo's would be a good idea as I think this event will get really popular! Didn't get lost as I was knowhere near the front, got my goody bag though, always carry my own water so no prob's on that front for me :)

In short: Nice run, Nice scenery
In full: Really good run with nice scenery, the steps were a bit of a killer but not too hard on the whole. Points for next year, could do with a few words over a loudhailer at the start to point out which way we were running. The end was in a bad place, too narrow for all the runners, also water at the end would have been good (Although I live next door so popped home for a cup of tea)

In short: please give it another chance
In full: i was marsahlling at turn in the woods as a favour/result of injury so didnt see the result of the elites going wrong!all i will say is a lot of people worked hard to put this race on and deserve another chance next year!!also local runners if you dont want to race why not marshall as we have racing experience and should help avoid any hiccups

In short: Stop moaning and offer to help next year.
In full: Good course, friendly organisers. Shame about the one marshall at the one critical place, but these things happen. All the moaners should shut up and offer some help or advice. The race was supporting charities and thank you to all involved. I went the wrong way, should get a PB next year.

In short: Brilliant First Time 4.5mile Race!
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Will definately do again next year. Fortunately I was at the back so I didnt get sent the wrong way but the organisers are only human and its not like we were running for England now is it - remember those of you moaning that you were in Worsley doing a 4.5mile race at the end of the day. Hopefully they will learn for next year. Marshalls were very encouraging and I thought they did brilliantly. Didnt get a goody bag as apparently all the blokes nicked the ladies bags (which was a bit un-chivalrous of them)but not bothered as I really enjoyed it. Still on a high from it.

In short: Really enjoyable despite all the moaning!
In full: As a total amateur I really enjoyed it. Since I am a tortoise not a hare I didn't go the wrong way so no probs there! Bit disappointing to find goody bags had run out - but I didn't enter the race to get a t-shirt I entered to enjnoy the run - and I certainly achieved that!!

In short: Flat trail with small climbs through woods
In full: Enjoyable event and nice course running down a old railway footpath and into the woods and back.In my opinion beginer/intermediate material as mainly flat with a few small climbs.A little unfortunate for the front pack who appeared to get lost but its their first race so lets give the friendly organisers a break! They can fine tune it for next year when I will be racing,no, I mean running,no, sorry jogging and gasping for air again.

In short: Absolute shambles! How hard is it to place marshalls in locations where runners have to change direction? Unclear start and finish lines and not enough goody bags. Would not consider doing again next year. Very disappointed
In full: Have done 38 races in last 12 months and as yet have thankfully not come across one as badly organised as this one. Me and around 30 others passed a marshall who couldnt be bothered to tell us to take a left turn, he just let us run right past him.The start was a shambles-no start line, the finish was a shambles for same reason,no goody bags for lots of runners either. Im all for making allowances with it being the first running of the event but this was ridiculous! We might as well have saved a tenner and gone on a training run. Sorry for the rant but i am very disappointed, especially as i make a point of supporting local events. Will NOT even think about doing next year.
