In short: Undulating 10k through beautiful park land In full: A great race with a friendly atmosphere through the beautiful parkland around Blenheim palace. An undulating course on mostly tarmac private roads with short stretches on gravel (and sheep poo!) and a few hills to test you. Walkers blocking the road were an issue in various places but otherwise it was well organised, no-gimmicks race. Parking well managed close to start/finish. Agree with the organiser's choice to not provide goodie bags/T-shirts/medals. Date of review: October 18, 2010

In short: Fantastic setting in the grounds of Blenheim Palace In full: First time I've done this race so I can't compare to previous years. Not as flat as I might have expected, but the two main rises were not killers. Brilliantly organised, from car park to results displayed on a board in the finish area. Understand why the organisers wanted to maximise their charity donation, but slightly disappointed to come away completely empty handed. Would be gutted if I was a first timer. Great that the garden cafe was open before and after the race - nice food and a welcome coffee. Date of review: October 26, 2009

In short: Great run on a sunny Autumn day In full: Lovely course on metaled, traffic free roads through the parkland round Blenheim Palace. If I didn't know the area the hills would have caught me out. Organisers did say in advance they'd taken the decision not to issue medals as it meant an extra £400 for the charity. In short: Good on path/road circuit In full: Hilly 1st 4K, then all downhill after 6K so PB possible. Very good scenery. Very nice race and you could bring your family as they get into blenheim free. This year sun and drizzle and wind so all seasons in a day. One to do. Date of review: October 26, 2009

In short: Absolutely superb race in wonderful surroundings! In full: Superb 1 lap course round the Palace. Glorious autumnal colours. Challenging hills (especially in that wind). Mildly disappointed no medal or other momento but then it was for charity. Definitely one to do again and much, much more scenic than the alternative today, Stoud! Date of review: October 25, 2009

In full: It is just one of the best places in the country to run around. If you can ignore the hills, get your head up and take in the scenery it is a special place. This might seem churlish but I think a memento of some sort would be good. It's nice that the money goes to charity but a keep sake is always welcome. It's a small niggle and the cost of the race is certainly much less than other Blenheim runs but... But running doesn't get much more scenic than this! Date of review: October 25, 2009

In short: Learning from the problems of the previous week another successful running of one of my favourite races. In full: With wet weather earlier in the "summer" an alernative car park was used - further away than the usual car park, but with changing and baggage facilities this caused me no problems.
The mist obscured my favourite view of the Palace as you climb up from the lake but this was still a challenging 10K run in a friendly atmosphere.
Thanks to the marshalls and Woodstock Rotary. Date of review: October 12, 2008
