In short: Highlight of my week. Great speed session followed by making new friends over tea and cake
In full: I've been running the Hove Park 5k time trial every Saturday since April and I love it. The organisation is perfect, the race is a fast 2 and half laps round the park before collapsing in a heap at the park cafe for their extraordinarily fine cakes.
I would strongly recommend this to anyone who can haul themselves to Hove Park for 9 o'clock Saturday morning. It's free and the best way to start your weekend.

In short: Delightful race what a shame I don't live in Hove else this would be a weekly event for me. Back in Hove end of August so will definitely be doing it again. Fast, relaxed friendly atmosphere and suitable for all levels of ability.
In full: I saw some people out jogging whilst we did the 'race'. Why not john in? This is a race for all types of runner and would be an excellent way of entering a race without being intimidated or feeling out of place. Excellent. If only there was a north (east) London one for me!

In short: Lovely scenic - and free - run
In full: A time trial, not a race, so your only competitor is the clock. That said, the course is challenging enough to make you race against your previous best to attain greater strength and speed. Training on cross country hills will benefit here.

Great informal event, well worth turning up for.

In short: Excellent weekly time trial
In full: Nice multi-lap course. Begineer and kid friendly without being detrimental to the front runners.

Very welcoming and the coffee shop does great coffees and cakes.

In short: The best reason to get out of bed on the weekend!!
In full: FREE FUN and FITNESS - my 3 favourite words are all encompassed in the parkrun ideal. Hove Park is a great location with lovely course and a fantastic breakfast after.

In short: Windy but welcoming
In full: It was way too windy to post a decent time but on another day there is definite PB potential. Well organised and a friendly bunch, I am sure the event will grow.

In short: B-right on the money.
In full: Spot on. Just what I expected - a nice new, fresh and fast Time Trial.
Hove Park is a pleasure to go round multiple times. For speed I set a PB so feel it's pretty fast in comparison to say BPTT. Has very friendly volunteers and marshalls. Facilities are right at the start line. Typical TT organisation, swift results and photos, and good to see km markers in the form of cones.
Great mix of runner and remember this is all for free every week.
You can't fault it.

In short: Couldn't be better, and it's free
In full: Flawless organisation, much better than the majority of races where you have to pay to enter. Results were up within hours. Course is undulating but on good tarmac and potentially could be fast. Nice local atmosphere, complete range from the fast to the not-so-fast - very welcoming and would be ideal for beginners. It's a shame I don't live near Hove as I'd have been happy to volunteer occasionally to keep this race going.
