In short: Fantastic race I loved every bit of it!
In full: This was my first time doing this race but after reading the reviews from previous years I had to have a go and I am so glad I did as this was one of the most friendly and well organised races I have done. The hills were not to bad but the mud in those last few fields made my trainers feel like I was running in boots. I also loved the speed in which you found out your official time and position within seconds of finishing. This is a race I hope to do now every year.

In short: This was my third year - and I enjoyed it yet again
In full: I enjoy the certainty that this will be a great Saturday morning, but that there will be some new things to discover / notice. This year the airfield rallying and some remote control planes. Oh, and I knew I was fitter than last year when I didn't lose my balance on the stepping stones and kept my feet dry(ish!)

In short: Excellent once again.
In full: After doing this in 2008, my wife and I signed up again this year with much anticipation.

Beautiful countryside, friendly help & support from all helpers, marshals and organisers, excellent cake, and faultless directions meant the event was a dream.

My only (minor) criticism was that the sandwiches from 2008 were not present today. As they were superb they were sorely missed.

Thanks to all the organisers and helpers we hope to see you again soon.

In short: Just as good second time round
In full: Checked my review from last year - said I'd do it again - and I did (and in 'proper' trail shoes - although I don't think it made a huge difference!).
Beat my time, but it still felt tough - but great to finish.
