In short: Very pretty, very friendly, great organisation, some hillage.
In full: Decided to do this at the last minute (training for 10k in April was going well and couldn't wait!)and really glad I did. This is such a laid back race with a great atmosphere and all kinds of runners participating. Love the way you can choose a second lap for 10k or just go straight through the finish for 5k - great if you're not sure about tackling a 10k. There is a big grassy hill in the middle which hurts a bit, but other than this the race is flat and feels really effortless, perhaps because views are so good. Also nowhere near as muddy as billed this year!

In short: Nice scenery, well organised, good run.
In full: Great to run arounds the grounds of Wilton House. Organisation was good and the marshalls were cheery. The only suggestion would be to have some km markers, so you can pace the race better.

Also goof that it's a charity event.

In short: Beautiful scenery, well organised
In full: Run through the beautiful grounds of Wilton House, this is entirely off road, and has a bit of a hill at about 3.5 km and again at 7 km. The run itself was great, but there were a couple of niggles with the organisation: Firstly I almost didn't turn up - the flier (which I didn't look at until the morning of the race)stated a 10.00am start - I'd got it in my diary from somewhere that it was 11.00am. I noticed this at about 10.30am when we were just leaving (oops) - luckily I checked the website which had big red letters saying that the race was actually at 11.00am.

Secondly, last year was lovely for the kids as they played in the adventure playground in the grounds of Wilton House - this year the elf and safety police were out and they were shouted off the wooden climbs, which was a shame.

All in all a very good race though.

In short: One of the most picturesque courses around, which takes your mind off the hill!
In full: Great low key run around glorious grounds of Wilton House. Well organised and I even got the right size t-shirt this year!

In short: Great low key run around the grounds of Wilton House.
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the run, but one grumble is why pre-order a t-shirt, so that when you collect it they have run out of the size that you have ordered! But hey I have got loads of t-shirts anyway.

In short: Good 5K cross-country in the grounds of Wilton House; blessed by good weather.
In full: A 2x5K lap charity jog that makes a good training run rather than a race (no kilometer markers). Beautiful grounds and enthusiastic BHF organisers - particularly at the warm-up - made for a pleasant morning. Pricey, but it's for charidee...
