In short: Surprisingly under subscribed wonderful series
In full: £ chices of race, 3 different race days, guaranteed variety of weather. Nice little day out or challenging race, your choice. !, 2 or 3 laps of undulation on well signposted seasoned trail with glorious countryside around. £ start times mean you come acrossrunners of all categories regardless of race you are in. ell organised, chipped, results by the time you've taken a sip of water and a nice little burger van to carbo/protein load afterwarsd before going of on a forest adventure. Should be better supported, don't understand why not and I'll be back as it's a great winter/spring maintrenance programme. Well doen to the organisers for maintaining it in the calendar and for their unique sense of humour/pre race chats!

In short: Beautiful scenery and the snow and ice added to the challenge!
In full: Only my second 10k ever and I'd not done as much training beforehand as planned for various reasons, so I was definitely amongst the slowest in the group. Many club members there so I felt a little out of place but by no means unwelcome. Icy paths and 1-2 inches of snow along the route further reduced my time, but it was worth it for the glorious scenery and the satisfaction of finishing. Friendly atmosphere at the finish.
