In short: Good start to the year!
In full: After being delayed for a week due to snow and ice, this race was held on 2nd Feb. A small field due to the postponement meant the narrow footpaths alongside the A20 weren't too much of a problem. Fairly uninspiring route, with a few undulations to keep it honest. Organisation, as I always find from Velocity Events, was spot on. No frills, but everything required to make it an enjoyable experience.

In short: failry well organised, but majority of course a tad dull (alongside A20)
In full: the remainder of route on pleasant country loop-was a pretty cold morning so not much in the way of locals out to support so lacked any atmosphere- served a purpose to keep training focussed during festive season. I would not normally choose to run alonside a main road, so would not return.

In short: Well organised, friendly, undulating course, but no killer hills
In full: For a road race, no problems with traffic - parts were on country lanes with almost no traffic, the rest was on footpaths, which were a bit narrow in places, but generally OK, given the relatively small entry. A pity the village hall was shut due to 'frozen pipes/ water leak'. With temperatures today around +2, it made it cold for runners beforehand, and spectators throughout, having to stand outside - not the fault of the organisers though, who did a good job.

In short: A good race to start or end the year, but on a cold day needed more open venues to keep warm
