In short: Great race, my first 10k In full: Great evening race, marshalling was excellent, water stations were well manned and the locals were encouraging (even if they were sitting outside the pub with an inviting pint). Date of review: May 6, 2010
In short: I'll be back! In full: Lovely, scenic, course that has the perfect combination of being quick enough to run a good time whilst having sufficent hills for you to know your time was well earned. Organisation and marshalling was very good - the only slight negative being that there was no supervised bag storage area... seemed that it was expected that you would leave things in the car (the car park was, indeed, very close and convenient for this - but it does rely on you having a car parked there in the first place!!). That was my only small gripe though, and it didn't spoil an excellent evening's running. Will be back next year! Date of review: May 12, 2009
In short: Another great year for the DK10K In full: A popular, well organised, enjoyable, mid-week 10K road race through the country lanes around Wall Heath and Enville. Mostly flat, but with a couple of cheeky hills.
A real bonus this year was the recently rebuilt changing facilities at the rugby club. It was a nice surprise to get a hot shower and be able to get changed in comfort after the race!
An engraved wine glass and bottle of water were the spoils for completing the course.
Not much left to say, certainly no negatives, so well done DK for another great race - see you next year! Date of review: May 8, 2009
In short: Great Race In full: Will admit to only doing this one as it is part of the Stafford Harriers Club challenge this year but I really enjoyed it. It was well supported and well marshalled. The glass is a nice touch and makes a change from a T shirt! look forward to drinking a nice wine from it. I will do it again, club challenge or not. Date of review: May 7, 2009
