In short: A well run club event
In full: Given that the event is no longer a Hants League race the numbers of entrants have fallen. However, it remains a really well organised club event, & a nice change from the increasing number of larger event.

In short: My first 10k race and only my second competitive race, enjoyed the race and organisation was fine.
In full: Yes it's hilly but if you come to run on the island thats what you get, if you want flat races then enter flat races.

In short: A pleasant rural run with variety.
In full: I was on holiday, and noticed this was on,so wasn't sure what to expect. I was glad I did it, as it was a no-frills local run reasonably priced, and after finishing in football, rugby, athletic & motor-racing stadiums, I can now add speedway to the list. A nice mix of country lanes, hills & scenary... only downside was some traffic on the 2nd half.

In short: well organised race
In full: I think it was a bit of a dissapointing turnout as the weather looked awful early on, but actually turned out nice, possibly even too hot. about 90 people, instead of a couple of hundred they were hoping for.

really well organised though, bus at the ferry station, results were ready 5 minutes after i finished. Course was easy to understand, quite hilly, and on roads - i didn't understand some runners keeping well into the roads even when there was a pavement.

Only get a medal not on a ribbon though.

overall really worth making the trip for.

In short: Well organised 10k though dull scenery
In full: First time I've done this course and considering the IOW has some great scenery this by-passes most of it. Half the 10k was on busy roads with about 3k on the main Ryde-Shanklin Road. Organisation fine and marshalls are excellent but it's just too dull a course to justify the trip. Shame as I enjoyed my weekend in the IOW.
