In short: Friendly, varied well organised trail race. Low key but great fun. In full: This was a really unpretentious, fun race. In the drizzle the scenery wasn't as beautiful as it could have been, but the route gave a good range of terrains and inclines. Personally, I think hills make races interesting and there were a few short but challenging ones here. Lovely to have a track finish - I felt like I was having my own Chariots of Fire moment.
The race was really well organised with plentiful marshal. There was water and Jelly Babies at the half way point, bananas, crips and a chocolate bar at the finish line. I really enjoyed this race and will definitely be coming back for more! Date of review: February 8, 2010

In short: A good challenge In full: Thanks to everyon at Radcliffe AC for putting on a challenging race. Lots of short sharp hills and a few long drags on various surfaces but mostly good trails. Easy registration and no probs whatsoever. A long way to travel for me so probably won't be back but I'd recommend to others. Date of review: February 7, 2010

In short: A hard but enjoyable 10 miler and mostly quite scenic, excellent value for money. In full: lots of hills to test out your stamina and overall fitness, the ones near the motorway crossings especially are killers ! The one VERY good thing about this event was the great value for money, the banana, choccie biscuit and crisps were greatly appreciated too. If I run this one again I will do a LOT more hill training to prepare for it next time ! Great event though and well worth doing. Date of review: February 7, 2010

In short: Off-road muddy trails through woods, canal paths, fields. Ups and downs every mile, many quite steep.e In full: Tough going but unforgettable, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A refreshing change to run completely off-road for a long distance race, on a variety of surfaces with some great views along the way. A low entry fee and smooth organisation makes it great value. In short: well done radcliffe on a good little race In full: This is certainly not an easy race, especially with the recent rain making it very muddy. That said its right up my street, give me races like this over boring flat road races any day so thank you and i will be back next year. Date of review: February 15, 2009

In short: Very low key. No gimmicks. Just a great course. In full: The course was perfect! Scenic, varied and kept you interested all the way round without being uncomfortably hard. A mile or so of short but horrible hills. The rest was all flat.
It was fast! If you're slower than 10 min/mile you probably couldn't see another runner in front of you. No snobbishness about slower runners though. Some of the stewards tagged on the end once the last person ran through so even though I was right at the back I had people with me.
No mile markers, changing facilities, medals or goodie bags. Just a low entry fee, friendly people and a great course.
Thanks very much to all of the stewards. There were plenty of them and they were all incredibly encouraging. You made my day!! Date of review: February 18, 2008
