In short: Great route, excellent value, but don't wear headphones or you'll pay the price.
In full: An excellent route 99% off road through fields and forests. A nice river crossing to contend with and a few beastly hills near the end. I made the mistake of missing the advice of 'no headphones' and was not told at any point before, during or after the race. My own fault..DSQ!

In short: Love the cake
In full: very welcoming and well organised event, the only negative was we could have done with a bit more water towards the half way mark. The hills oh the hills, just what you need towards the end. It was all worth the effort for the cake and coffe at the end.

In short: Thanks to all involved
In full: This was my first attempt at this course and I loved it. The hill at c.8 miles is challenging but not as bad as I had imagined and the wade trough the river was welcome given the improving temperatures.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all of the organisers, marshalls, locals and runners. You made this an excellent event with your enthusiasm, support and welcome

In short: Favourite race of the year!
In full: This the third time I've run Chedworth RT, and for me it's a highlight of my running calendar. It's a rural, undulating route with lots to see and varying surfaces (and a splash through a river, of course). There are some challenging hills, and this year some tricky mud. The marshals were all unstintingly friendly and supportive. My only minor grumble is that the delicious home-made cake stand at the end was replaced by a burger van in the car-park, which is not quite the same vibe.

In short: Hilly but not silly
In full: This was my 55th birthday 'treat' to myself, does this mean I am actually 'getting out more?'The course was well planned - muddy, firm, hilly, flat - and well marshalled. I enjoyed it (in that 'I'm glad I have finished, perhaps I'll come back next year' kind of way). There were showers...not during race, but to wash oneself apres run, something that many of the 'bigger' events cannot manage.
