In short: Very well organised race with a sting in the tail
In full: A great little race, with magnificent scenery and some challenging 'bumps', particularly that one at the end, but with friendly marshalls and a carnival atmosphere.
A great T-shirt too, but I suspect the printer may be dyslexic - surely it should read: "There are no bumps in Allendale, only hills"?

In full: Ran this for the first time yesterday after spectating last year in the sunshine. Fantastic race with some cheeky hills in it. Times ranging from ~45 minutes to ~100 minutes, so don't let the hills put newcomers off. Marshalls very encouraging to everyone, they seem like a v friednly club & volunteers. Nice goody bag and a bit of a social afterwards with a spot prize draw. Allendale fair is charming too, with stalls and a strongman comp taking place.
Superb, this is what Saturday afternoons in June are all about! Back next year for sure.

In short: IF YOU LIKE A CHALLENGE THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!
In full: Excellent race. My wife and kid had a great time at the fare. Never ran hills like it but loved every moment of it. Pushed me to new limits, enjoyed passing people from running clubs who were walking up the hills! Will be back next year. Loved the T-shirt too!

In short: Heat and hills (sorry, 'bumps') do not an enjoyable run make. Tough.

In short: Those hills - sorry, bumps - never seem to get any easier
In full: When you get a tee-shirt that says "There are no hills in Allendale, only bumps" you know you're in for a tough race and it certainly didn't disappoint.
According to my Garmin those 'bumps' amounted to over 1000 feet of ascent, and I thought I was going to blow up on that final hill where I recorded my highest ever heart rate - 172.
A great race though, and I will be back again next year for more punishment :)
