In short: Fast, scenic event with a charming atmosphere In full: Didn't really know what to expect from this race but I was more than pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very friendly with runners of all abilities turning out in the bright sun. Thanks also to the marshals who did an excellent job ensuring the event was well organised.
The course itself comprised five laps of a scenic circuit on grass field, dirt track and pathway. The final 200m had a slight incline but otherwise the track offered great potential for a fast time.
The T-shirt was a nice touch and together with a bumper goodie bag that included a couple of bananas, an orange, several chocolate bars and a drink, this race offered really superb value for money!
I will definitely be back next year and would encourage anyone in the Oxford area to support this excellent local race. Date of review: April 26, 2009

In short: Very enjoyable run deserving more support In full: A very enjoyable run that deserves more support. 5 laps following the route of Cutteslowe Park's Peace Mile this family fun run or walk is about half on grass and half on gravel track/paths. There is a steady incline at the northern end of the course, and this combined with a very fresh wind to made it fairly challenging for the modest band of runners. There was a good mix of paces - be prepared to be lapped by the speedsters (unless you are one of them). At the end there was a goody bag containing water, banana & cereal bar and best of all were the free sports massages! A great bargain and the PDS charity was £700 better off for the event. Kids races beforehand too. And all traffic free. Do come along next year! Date of review: April 14, 2008
