In short: Beautiful surroundings but lack of organisation
In full: Lovely to run through Greenwich park which was really beautiful. Friendly organisers but the course was very unclear, marshalls didn't know which way you were meant to go, got directed the other way from where signs were pointing and down the "1st lap" route when on the second lap etc. At about 7k you loop back towards the finish line but it is completely unclear where you are meant to go next and you get tangled up with other people finishing. The first lap crosses over a roundabout with cars still driving across it, so you had to wait by the side until clear - doesn't seem ideal. A shame as it is beautiful surroundings and for a good cause - hope they sort the course out for next year.

In short: Great First 10k
In full: Really enjoyed this my first opportunity to test myself at a 10k, raising money in doing so as well. The volunteer marshalls all deserve a big pat on the back for their encouragement, smiles and claps. Only negative was the price of the car park at the O2.

In short: Great cause ... not so great course
In full: Raising money for this charity makes this a worthwhile race. The course consisted of seven laps looping around a section of the o2 arena and therefore was not very engaging. It was narrow in some places and combined with the numbers of walkers it made PBs very difficult. But the race was not really about that - it was about raising money. Well done to all the volunteers who gave up their time!

In short: A great after work fun run
In full: I chose to do this after the brilliant Canary Wharf event and I had a great time!

I chose to do the 5K and found the route good although the sandy part of the path was an interesting challenge and was glad to not have to do it agin on the second lap (for the 10k).

The route went around well known parts of Hyde Park and the weather was just right.

Overall another great free fun with a nice medal and water at the end.

In short: Lovely evening run
In full: Great evening run for a good cause. Pity about the bag storage. Dumping a bag around the bandstand doesn't really qualify as supervised bag storage. Apart from that, really good.

In short: Great event for those of us who are slower than average!
In full: A lovely sunny evening for a 2 lap flat run round Hyde Park. I loved the fact that the race was on a Wednesday evening rather than weekend. The start was busy as everyone collected T-shirts so we were slightly late. There was no sign of the staggered start meaning that 5k, 10k, runners and walkers all left together which did cause a little congestion over the fist km. Also, they could have done with more toilet facilities at the start - the queue for the ladies was unbelievably long!

I'd recommend this event to anyone like me who is usually at the back of the pack as all abilities took part and made a change not to be bringing up the rear!

Friendly event and I got a PB - I'd definitely do it again!
