In short: really friendly, low key race, ideal for new runners
In full: well done to hardley runners for organising such a friendly, low key race - in its 3rd year now and seems to be guaranteed sunshine for the race. Most marshals i have ever seen for this type of race, thanks for all the encouragement. For new runners, cannot think of a better introduction 10k race - lets hope there is a race next year as will be sorely missed if not.

In short: Fantastic
In full: This race really was fantastic. Running along the shingle was hard but apart from that couldnt fault a thing. Hardley runners are such a friendly club from entering the car park and the supportive smiling martials all the way round. This is a traiumph for Martin and his fellow clubmates.

In short: Feel good factor, country lanes, sea but slow shingle , nice in 2010 as very SUNNY!
In full: I enjoyed the sunny, massive car park, great warm up roads. Loo stops (discreet bushes & forest) along warm up route BUT not in the Gardens themselves please!, one of the rules, LOL.

Friendly, great marshalls (only 1 case for me when they never pointed, until i asked out loud, choice of 2 ways on a bend/fork)

I found first 4k down gradient, which led to 1k/800m on ok hard-ish shingle(fantastic sea view) & good turn around point. Second 5k was slight up gradient, felt the k markers may of been out (1k maybe 10-15 secs short?) or the last 2k were 1 min long? but not sure as i was slowing & my mate who won said his Garmin read 10k exact.

Great relaxed country lane route that made you want to stop & look at views. Would be nice to race & then have a pub meal/walk in the forest/pat the wild horses afterwards.

Thank you Hardley & Co for your time & effort! Jolly well done, more running shoe trophies (for prize winners) please, as they were best trophy i have ever seen for runners!

In short: One of the best 10ks I have run. I am looking forward to next years already.
In full: My first time at this event and i must say it is brilliant. I know good weather always helps but the organisation, the marshalls, the route, the paper weight at the end they all added up to a great race. Thanks very much to all who were involved in making it work so well.

In short: Lovely race by the sea
In full: Beautifully organized race on a lovely course. Plenty of helpful, friendly marshalls and a quality memento at the end. Nice to have biscuits with the post-race drink. It was gorgeous running along by the sea.

In short: An excellent, scenic, local race
In full: A very popular race, over quiet country lanes and the shingle path along Lepe Beach. Not a pb course owing to the undulating nature of the course, but very enjoyable. I hope next year's race will accept more than this year's 400.

In short: Tougher than anticipated but still very enjoyable.
In full: Most enjoyable race mainly along country lanes. Perhaps a little too much of a challenge for a PB.Definitely begginer friendly and highly recommended for this purpose. Participants were largely unaffiliated runners and consequently new runners might feel slightly less intimidated.

In short: Fantastic race
In full: Lovely local race along a glorious route along New Forest lanes, and even goes right along the beach. Marshalls are all lovely and friendly, as are the runners. The ones near the back at least :). Have done all 3 years so far and will definitely keep coming back. Maybe time to change the memento next year?
