In short: Sort the organisation - terrible! 2012 review not available!
In full: I enjoyed the race, nice route etc. Getting there - no problems! Support from crowds shouting my name - brilliant! Toilets on arrival just bad layout. More toilets by the poorly staffed 'help' tent. Two thirds of toilets here were blocked by 8.45am!! Sort charity runners with a printed number - my photo's were lost as the photo team couldn't read my hand written race number (come on!). Music en route wasn't as good as I'd hoped but atmosphere at start and finish was great. Long walk from help tent to bag drop - just put them next to each other!! Shame as I expected more - it's not rocket science guys! ;o(

In short: It was my first Half Marathon - Really Enjoyed It
In full: Im shocked by the reviews on here.

I thought the organisation was brilliant, enough toilets, water/energy station, marshals were knowledgeable, enough space to run & the crowds were perfect. Music was so so.

People are moaning about the delay in start time - this was due to a tube delay so was out of the organisers control. Some were also complaining about the weather - need I say anymore?

This was my first half Marathon & I loved it. Well done Run To The Beat!

In short: Potential to be better
In full: Poor organisation at start and finish. Traffic problems. Wet, cold, miserable conditions. Less crowd support than expected, held this back from being a special race, though I did enjoy it and will do it again. I liked the noisy supporter at around the two mile mark who then turned up at around the file mile mark.

I like the course. I like big events. And this is London, and it's local for me, so I'd be keen to do this again.

In short: Over-priced, bad music BUT good course
In full: I know this says 2008 but there is no option to review 2009 for some unknown reason!! Better organised than 2008, but again this event is sold on the music and that was poor, you only hear it for about 50 metres each side of the mile markers. That said the course is very good with some challenging hills and some great scenery, Goody bag was naff but ha i was here for the run. At £32 quid i won't be coming back in a hurry but glad i have "experienced it"

In short: Excellent atmosphere and great support
In full: This was my first time at this event and was inpressed with the organisation at the start. The weather was very hot which did not help a good time but the support around the course was uplifting. The marshalls and people at the water stations were excellent. The one down side for me was that it was meant to be Run to the Beat but the music was over hyped and in some places very poor and so if this is the selling point it needs work. The car parking at the O2 was a bit hap hazzard. The course has some nasty hills but apart from this a great day and worth the trip.

In short: Well organised, good introduction to half marathons.
In full: The organisers seem to have taken on board last year's criticisms and improved a great deal. Good organisation at the start, race on time, nice course with plenty of space and regular well organised water stations. Plenty of support along the route too. In summary I was impressed and had an enjoyable sunday morning!

In short: Hills. More than expected. But the downhill run from the Royal Observatory was worth it.

In short: 2009 race
