In short: Despite the atrocious weather I still enjoyed myself.
In full: The wind whipping in off the sea put pay to any chances I thought I had of running a good time. That said this is a great course for a well-organised race that has a good community feel about it. Thanks to the many marshalls and police who were out in the rain keeping us all safe and to the spectators dotted around the course who would have been much warmer and drier if they'd stayed inside. Here's wishing for better weather for next year's 25th edition.

In short: Great course for PB
In full: A very windy and wet evening in stark contrast to last years scorching heat. The first 2kms had the wind assisted by the incoming sea 'breeze'as the white rafter waves crashed onto the shore, thus it was hard trying to get a rhythm going. The final 2kms again had the wind and rain lashing down, but it really is a great course and found the run on the whole very enjoyable.

The Timing Chip was unique in the fact I had never saw the design before. It was a flat 2 inch square that you laced through your shoe lace, but as long as it works who cares.

A great course and hopefully the weather will be kinder next year.

In short: Lovely flat race on balmy summer evening
In full: Out and back sections along the promenade, a flat course for a PB and evening sunshine made this event thoroughly enjoyable. One for the calander every year. Good organisation, although they ran out of water this year, but they could be forgiven given due to the warm conditions. Recommended.

In short: A rewarding evening by the seaside
In full: I believe there were some problems with a lack of water for slower runners, the organisers have held their hands up to this error. Otherwise this is a well organised and well supported 10k on a fast and flat course.

In short: As I was helping a friend through the race my p.b. was not important. However, at the end there was not T/Shirt for us and we were handed a biscuit. There was not goody bag of water for us.

In short: Warm. Fast. Flat. Quick. 1000 runners and lots of PBs.
In full: A warm night down on the Ayrshire Riviera. Good conditions on a fairly flat and fast track around the town. Very well marshalled and , despite a bit of a cramped start, plenty of room at the finshing line for what I'm told is Scotland's biggest mid-week 10k.
