In short: Hilly not undulating
In full: on't get me wrong, I don't mind hills, but they try to sell this course as undulating but for a road race it is definatly hilly. I paced myself for a undulating course so really struggled over the last few miles as the hills were pretty challenging in places. Also some quite steep desents so if you've got dodggy knees I'd avoid it.
It is a nice race though aslong as your prepared for the hills.
I won't be doing it again though as my knees couldn't hack the downhills.

In full: Very well organised, undulating race through some beautiful Lancashire countryside. Nice start on the high street in historic Garstang. Excellent workout prior to the Loch Ness marathon on Oct 4th. We even had +18 deg. I definitely recommend this race.

In short: Tough race, beautiful scenery, even the weather was glorious, if a bit warm! Well worth the effort.

In short: Not a PB course but a great run. Good run to help with training and fitness. Nice rural course, well organised and very friendly. Showers, posr race massage and a half marathon for £ 9.00. Impressive.

In short: A tough race, with the toughest hills around 9 miles in. Organisation, drinks and marshalling were all good

In short: cracking race, but oh mile 9 to 10
In full: A nice course and up until mile 9 I thought it was quite good although definitely undulating. But that hill was brutal and definitley did for my target time. It's not a pb course even though I did run one!
Organisation was spot on, the course was well marshalled and they were all very supportive. Nice hat as a momento and a free post race massage from the girls from Craven College, Skipton.
Well done Garstang Running Club!
