In short: An 11K trail race! Very interesting course.
In full: This is an 11K run without a doubt and it has almost 600 feet of climb with a very gnarly path down by the river with "in Nidd" potential if you were to trip over a root or chunk of limestone. Definitely suits an off road specialist. And yet a really jolly atmosphere. Results?

In short: my first competitive race for many years but a great day.
In full: Having not race for about 15 years it was a great family day that re-introduce me to the thrill of the race day. Route was tough but not overly, knowing the course for next year will help as the distance is a bit over the 10k.

In short: A school based race with a great turnout
In full: A good race ran made it tough and slippery in place but it was advertised as atrail race. Already comments about its length plots on mapometer as a 7.2 mile (11.6k) run. So definetly not a 10k PB race.

In short: Good race for the family to attend
In full: Good race and a nice family day out (if it wasnt for the rain). Lots of stalls selling things, things for the kids to do etc, very good! Only complaint from me is that there were no km markers after the first km. Very hilly so not for a pb. Heard talk on the day of it being closer to 11.5k but do not know how much truth there is to that. Took me 52 min which I was not happy about having ran Tees Barrage 10k last monday in 44min (could have been the hills or the distance, not sure). Results did not appear to be available at the end but may be online shortly. All in all, a good one and will be doing it again next year!!!

In short: Just what you expect from a trial race. Glorious scenery but tough at times. The only complaint I have is that I was sent the wrong way by a marshall adding about 500m to the race after I realised the mistake.
