In short: Good, fun race in & around Abbey Park
In full: First time I've run this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Relaxed atmosphere, enjoyed the multi lap aspect. Marshalls were great and free parking at the Space Centre!

In short: Very friendly atmosphere and excellent organisation
In full: The demanding hill (whichever way round you run this event) means that PBs are most unlikely. However, everyone seems to relish the challenge and the views from the top and on the way up are stunning. The friendliness of the organisers, marshals and everyone involved makes this a race well worth doing.

In short: Great race ,one massive hill ,
In full: Love this race series ,no spectators but great comradely between the runners.Great to have chip timing at such a small event .The hill is a real challenge , but once completed this is a most enjoyable race. And a packet of sausages to all competitors at the finish.Looking forward to completing all five races in the series.

In short: no water on a hot day
In full: the stratford big 10k,good course friendly helpful marshalls decent medal and t-shirt spoilt by lack of organization and lack of water at the end of the event which led to me paying for bottles of water.

In short: NO WATER AT THE 5K POINT, BOUGHT A BOTTLE AT THE FINISH
In full: My third 10k so i'm no expert, but on such a warm day to have run out of water at the half way point for what seems to have been the middle markers and beyond was poor.

The organisation at the end was not much better and it was easier to buy a bottle of water at the finish than get any from the organisers.

The positives: great route; Marshalls as ever were supportive and encouraging; the atmosphere of the whole event was positive despite the 'drought'.

I think I'd do it again but will carry water next time...just to be sure.

In short: Poor preparation for the weather
In full: I haven't done this race before but had heard it was a good one. The race itself was great - challenging route, helpful marshalls, friendly atmosphere, but the organisation for the finish was awful.
Given that it was an extremely hot day, and the forecast predicted this so it isn't as if it was a surprise, there was nowhere near enough water for the athletes. I came in around the middle of the pack, and the first water station had almost run out of water. We were directed by other finishing athletes to another water station which had no queue, but when we got there there were no cups, and whoever was supposed to be manning the station had disappeared. As a result, athletes were letting the water pour out of the bottle nozzle all over the floor just to get a handful of water. A friend of mine ended up going off to find cups from elsewhere, and when he returned we discovered the water container now had a broken nozzle, so I ended up having to take the lid off and pour water for the now big queue of people waiting for it. I was not impressed that there did not appear to be a volunteer in sight. I first thought they were going to get more water but 10 minutes later they had not returned. Water is a pretty obvious thing to have enough of, and there were a lot of struggling athletes at the end. I was not happy that I ended up helping out - I should have got an employee discount on the race!
Not impressed unfortunately.

In short: My first 10K and will return
In full: Great for my 1st race; its on the flat and only two laps, so you were able to judge your timings once you had hit the 1/2 way water station. Lovely park venue and local to The Space Centre, so plenty of family entertainment for the entourage.
