In short: Challenging run through woods and alongside the river
In full: A good route with some steep up and downhill sections. About half a mile on tarmac the rest on muddy paths through woods and compacted towpath. Has the potential to be very muddy and slippery although this year it was dry so wasn't a problem. The marshals were very cheerful, vocal and encouraging - makes a change from the all too common silent ones. There could have been more info on the website about parking options though as they are very limited.

In short: Great organisation but disappointing memento!
In full: The organisation of the Horror this year was brilliant. The marshalls were well-organised and super friendly and encouraging, even when I felt like my legs were going to fall off.

After last years free pint and t-shirt I was a bit disappointed to receive only a rather naff drawstring bag at the end. Not to worry though, a good day and many cakes were had by all!

Definitely one to try again next year :)

In short: A well organised pleasantly scenic run helped out by the dry warm weather. Every single marshall along route were fully encouraging at all times and did a 1st class job.

In short: Great marshals, lovely route, rope on hill...
In full: Friendly atmosphere, nice small race. Route change this year added extra interest, new rope hills much better than before. Particularly liked the completely gratuitous up and down just after the last roped hill! Gorgeous weather, and all the marshals were very friendly and enthusiastic. In the traditional way, they all lied about the hills/ distance left/ "looking good", which we all know isn't true but completely expected! :)
Overall, another great race from Bitton.

In short: Excellent marshalling, good value, friendly race, tough climbs!
In full: 1st time at the 'horror'. Tough climbs and descents with steps up & down. Very dry this year, but could be tricky in wet, muddy conditions. Good range of prizes and good to have showers, changing & refreshments.

Only a slight mistake with results & prizes upset the day at the end. people got prizes they shouldn't have and those that were eligible, didn't get them. However, i'm sure this will be corrected for future years. Other wise, superb all round.

Big thanks to all the organisers, marshalls and other helpers for making this an enjoyable, small, friendly event. And big thanks for the very vocal encouragement by the Marshalls on the last hill. Fantastic!
