In short: 2012 may be the lst time if the proposed housing development and relocation of the Frys Club ahppen on plan
In full: Its a long drag up the hill out of Keynsham nbut not so nad once you get to the turn before the 5K mark. Havinving only run the Keynsham and Pensford 10Ks I'm sure there must be 'easier' ones!Maybe I am a sub 48 runner really......

In short: A good mix of gradients, up and down!
In full: A damp day and unsure what to wear for the race as it was chilly a drizzly waiting for the start. Started in the scenic chocolate factory then into the town and soon onto the local country b roads which were tough uphill but scenic but slippery coming down, making me careful for my footing. Finished back at the chocloate factory and was glad when it stopped as it later transpired I wasnt really well enough to run! Glad I did and looking forward to the next one. Well done Keynsham Scouts! Ging gang goolie goolie goolie goolie watcha, ging gang goo, ging gang goo!

In full: Still enjoy this race every year despite the seemingly endless climb! No problems and splendid atmosphere. Sorry if we inconvenienced Mr Merc who was determined to barge through at one point!

In short: No chance of a PB, but a great local race
In full: I did this as a last minute thing and am really glad I did. It's quite a hard course and ideally we wouldn't need to run up a grass bank near the end but it was very well organised and the marshalls did a particulary stirling job. The whole event had a nice friendly feel, especially as there was the children's race beforehand. Let's hope Kraft doesn't close this one down too.

In short: Great event, but first half is all uphill (well it felt as though it was!)
In full: After the first km, the next 4 were on a long climb with ocassional respite. Then the 5km marker, and undulating terrain, so good chance to get your breath back! I might have been put off had I read this before entering, but now I've done the route, I'll definitely come back.

In short: A local run with something for everyone...
In full: Keynsham 10K was my first race, many, many, moons ago, &, without fail, I have raced here every year since.
Organised by the local Scout troop, the race is a low key one that includes flat stretches, hills that seem to stretch on forever, fast inclines, a grassy cut through the local park, and some lovely scenery around the town made famous to anyone who can remember Horace Batchelor...
My only gripe is that, for your entry fee you don't get any momento - if you want a medal then you have to pay for one! For such a well attended race you'd expect them to make just a little more effort...
