In short: Excellent race, well-organised, interesting route & great value. In full: Malcolm Fowler and the Wilmslow Running Club crew did a fabulous job at organising this race: a bargain price, parking on-site, great route, excellent marshals, free photos, a bottle of beer, a flapjack and no rain! And a worthy organisation, The David Lewis Centre is £2,000 better off. I'll be back next year. Date of review: July 31, 2012

In short: Terrific race, will do it again. In full: Not sure why, but I really got into the race straight from the off. Whether it was the increased number of runners, the better weather than forecast, into the Olympics, but I ran a course best at the 4th time of trying. Thanks to all involved in the organisation, it was spot on. A big thanks also to Bryan as always for his super, free, souvenir photos that capture the moment. www.racephotos.org.uk Date of review: July 30, 2012

In short: Typical Wilmslow RC event... a Great race as always In full: Done this three times now... flawless organisation, two bottled water stations (with well placed boxes and bins to discard - nice touch), super venue, nice memento and, unlike most other races branded as Great (Great Manchester Run, Great North Run) proceeds go to charity (The David Lewis Centre). The course itself is and undulating tour of the Cheshire lanes, some of the hills seem challenging but anyone can do them. Don't be put off by the fact that it's laps. You only do the big lap twice and on this course it sort of enhances the enjoyment. The finish is a flat run into The David Lewis Centre, spectators and earlier finishers use the abundant space to cheer home friends, family and clubmates - something most organisers don't consider, really useful at the end. Well done Malcolm etc... This race remains firmly on the Belle Vue Racers list

In short: I really enjoyed this 10 Mile race In full: Having decided to do this race at the last minute I was very pleased that I did.
It was only my 3rd race and was a pre marathon run out.
The car parking and registration was very easy. The overall organisation and marshalling were also very good.
It was hard work for me as I set out a little too quickly but ended up with as good time as I could have expected despite a nice blister!
The route was a loop of 2 miles and two of 4 miles. There were a few gentle inclines and a quite steep hill which was near the end of each loop. 2 water stops (at 3 and 7 miles) were appreciated but another would have been a nice.
The free pictures provided by Bryan at http://www.racephotos.org.uk was a welcome bonus.
Although I didn't partake of the service there was a pre and post massage for a charity donation.
The only improvement I would suggest are the need to have more toilets as there was only 1 male toilet and a large queue developed.
