In short: Worse half marathon I have run
In full: To say it is organised by a running club is suprising as runner's needs are not catered for, lack of toilet facilities near the start line is not good, why not use portakabins like Stafford and the nearby Mablethorpe (superbly organised) half marathon. The sports bag was insulting and did not reward all the hard training that the runners had done in preparation for the race. I would not run this again.

In short: was a very good race, didn't look forward to the off road part, a very well organised race.
In full: I would like to say a special thank you to Norman Harding who helped me complete the race. He was a star and thank you again. I really enjoyed the half marathon, it was a special race for me, I would recommend it to anyone, not sure for beginners, the atmosphere was brill. The only downside was the finish, the sign was not clear enough and the road leading up to it should have been blocked off to prevent people from getting into your running path as some didn't have the respect of moving for you. Otherwise a very good event.

In short: challenging course with some good scenery
In full: good test for those running a spring marathon. may not make your target 1/2 time due to course but good stamina test. you will know you've been tested.

In short: This was my first half marathon which I really enjoyed - well marshalled and lovely cuppa at the end. Does anyone know how the little lad is who collapsed with only about 1.5miles to go? Would do this again - well done Sleaford.

In short: Good race - got a PB!
In full: Firt time I've ran this and really enjoyed it. I wasn't looking forward to the viking way but it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be, infact I quite enjoyed the change from road running! As most people have commented the start could be better organised luckily I asked as I noticed everyone heading else where. I personally liked the cotton drawstring back and goodies at the end. It was nice to have my name read as I crossed the finish line too! Would be good to have more support for general runners as it tended to be for clubs, although the lady with the stereo and loud motivating voice was great! Thank you so much to the lady who ran with me from about 6 miles on and off - you kept me going!

In short: Enjoyed my first half marathon. I thought the Marshalls were really enthusiastic and overall a well organised race. The only points I would make is, the start was quite a long walk and there were alot of people in the way at the finish.

In short: A decent scenic course with the only real challenge the muddy section. Signage to the start could have been better but the follow everyone else rule always tends to be sufficient. The amount of pedestrians blocking the finish was a pain

In short: Great race, Flat, bad start
In full: As everyone has stated the Start was too far away from the toilets and everyone ended up using the Copse, the offroad was awkward - saw 2 people fall over however generally the atmosphere was good, the hills - there werent any and i liked the drawstring bag.
