In short: A rather boring race with sections, which were not very well marshalled (not always sure on which side to run). But on the other hand some very nice and encouraging marshalls. Excellent new showers and changing facilities. Date of review: February 27, 2006

In short: Changing rooms a definite improvement on last year, last hill never gets any easier, thanks to the marshals particularly for their management of traffic at the busier junctions. Date of review: February 25, 2006

In short: Plenty of marshalls, unfortunately most stood there with their hands in the pockets. In the last half mile or so, when I had lost sight of the runner in front of me, I had to ask every marshal which way to go. In full: Despite the marshalling problems, I like the multi lap course and will definately be back. I'll know the course for next time so won't have to rely on marshalls. In short: Good in parts In full: Some marshalls were poor. Toilets terrible. Signposting to event also poor, we ended up in the boot-sale as well. Liked the route round the harbour and the finish on the track. Would describe it as undulating rather than hilly as I didn't have to walk up any bits. Date of review: February 23, 2005

In short: Challenging run, though a little dull in parts. In full: As a former Plymouth resident I was happy to cough up and turn out. The course itself was fairly challenging with the hills on the Hoe costing everyone time. Great atmosphere and organisation at the finish, and superb medal. Signposting for parking poor though will be back next year. Date of review: February 23, 2005

In short: A decent enough race but nothing special. In full: As a hometown race I will always run this one but it is as real mixed bag. Running through the Hoe and Barbican is great but this is off set by running down Union Street and Millbay Road. These are two of Plymouth's least attractive areas. Medal was great but support from the locals was a bit thin on the ground. Date of review: February 21, 2005

In short: Apart from the bit over the Hoe itself, no views at all - all round streets. Lots of traffic and "pavement hopping" so open to injuries. In full: Car parking marshalling terrible. Car park not clearly signed until you were right on top of it and even then the sign was very small - ended up in car boot sale to begin with. Car park marshalls did not have bibs on so not easily visible. Toilets and changing awful. The ladies toilet had about two inches of water in the bottom. Not enough marshalls covering the course. Because the route was so much in the traffic, there were small roads that were not marshalled and so dangerous: I nearly got hit going across the entrance to Aldi's supermarket. Only good point was the organisation at the finish, the medal and the view from the Hoe. Apart from that it was dire. Date of review: February 21, 2005

In short: Good organisation apart from changing rooms/toilets which were awful, good support from spectators hills not to bad wlldefinately do it again. Date of review: February 20, 2005
