In short: Great race, just do it!
In full: My 1st fell race & loved it, did better than expected, all that hill training paying off!! Marshalls were great and what a bargain especially when you see how much some road races cost as also included neck warmer and food for £5.00, Definitely be back for more fell running.

In short: The clue is in the name - I felt wrecked at the end!
In full: What a fantastic event. I was one of the slow runners (well, I say runner, but I did that scree downhill on my backside)and the marshals were so supportive and friendly, even though the weather was not good for standing around in. Thanks to all. It was incredible value. I understand that the faster runners got a bottle of beer; I missed that, but still think it was great value. There were plenty of sarnies and coffee left when I got back - so I'm not complaining. Thanks so much for the run. I hope to be back next year.

In short: This was my first fell race & I loved it, I am sure I smiled all the way round. I was going to stop doing running events but after today I think I will stop road running races & take up off road running events. road

In short: Excellent compact fell race
In full: An excellent race, run by a fantastic club. A well organised and challenging compact course over the Wrekin. Some good challenging climbs, with equally fast decents. The most cheerful marshalls you'll ever find on a fell race, even in the heavy rain and wind. Loved the momento beer and the food afterwards. A good introduction to more challenging fell running as the course is well marked with tapes, sawdust markers and marshalls, no was map required. Thank you Newport & District RC.

In short: Tough
In full: The uphills are hard, expecially the first time up to the summit but they are nothing compared to the downhills. 4 quid for a well organised race with a great tee-shirt and food at the end is the best value I have ever seen.
