In short: Brilliant obstacle race
In full: 3rd time doing Survival (2 in London, 1 in Nottingham) and I keep coming back for more obstacle fun. Honestly the 8ft wall does get easier! Thought the course was a it short this year and more of a boring run in the middle compared to last year (when there were more obstacles in the park) and the road crossing was a bit ridiculous but appreciate the organisers are constrained by location. Great race to do as a team and work together to finish in one piece. Massively bruised the next day but well worth it! Just wish the uber competitive people would start in wave 1, I got shoved, pushed over and kicked in the face by people trying to race which seemed a bit pointless (and rude!) when there were queues at some of the obstacles. It's supposed to be fun people! Other than that, really enjoyed it and have already signed up again for next year.

In short: Fun
In full: A good race with some challenges for everyone. Some queuing at obstacles but that allowed for some good chats with fellow competitors. Good organiser, great atmosphere. Book an early race if you plan on racing around though to beat the busy spots.

In short: Great location for a great race and VERY fun!
In full: The Survival of the Fittest events are excellent fun and brilliantly organised. The atmosphere in and around Cardiff Bay was great with lots of people out watching and cheering you on.
One of the highlights of the race was running in the Millenium Stadium, although the run up the 6 flights of stairs to get into the stadium was killer after 8KM!!
The only downside was seeing the 9KM marker and thinking there was only 1 to go but then passing the 10KM marker and then an 11KM marker, still knowing you've got an 8ft wall to get yourself over. Well worth it though and highly recommended!!

Top tip, register early to get the cheaper entry price as it can become pricey the closer to the event it gets.

In short: Great fun & teamwork. Well organised 'waves' of runners meant the course never felt too busy. Not a run for PB Seekers as all of those blooming obstacles keep getting in the way - don't expect to use your trainers either !!

In short: Great event made all the more fun by the obstacles!!
In full: Not your typical 10K run!! A 10K course starting at Battersea Power Station, moving into Battersea Park and back again, with 16 obstacle zones along the way consisting of water, mud, ice, sand bags, climbing, crawling and more water and mud!! Well worth it and I will definitely be entering again next year.

In short: painfully enjoyable ;)
In full: having run over 250 races over 7 years this race is right up there with the best of them. having just recovered from ITB and having pulled a muscle in my lower back the day before the race i couldnt give it a 100% but i enjoyed every bit of it, location was brilliant, starting in waves was very well organised, other runners seemed to help each other on the tougher obstacles, all in all a excellent race. if it had one downside it was the unsupervised baggage area we were all encouraged to travel by train/tube/bus as there was no parking and if you cant park and get changed by your car then you have to bring a bag and with 7000 runners thats a lot of bags.

In short: Awesome Challenge
In full: Great race really challenging your need to be more than a good runner to complete it. Only thing that let it down was poor map of course for both spectators and runners.
