In short: Painful but fun, and a really friendly and well organised race. Loved the bacon sandwiches!

In short: Tough hills but a great run and wonderful support and great organisation
In full: Excellent organisation - from the friendly welcome to the pre- race blessing ,the supportive marshalls and locals and the enthusiastic commentary at the end.
The hills are tough ( in the middle and again at the end) but the scenery is glorious and it's great to finish!

In short: Tough course and great race with support all the way.
In full: Blessed again. Great touch. Organisation, support and the marshalls were all superb. The team on the pa system gave all the runners a shout by name which gave you an addede boost at the end. A great race on a tough, hilly course.

In short: Lovely views + a few challenging hills
In full: Really enjoyed the run. Slight glitch in not presenting my age prize but quickly and cheerfully sorted - thank you. Many thanks to the happy marshals and all fthe cheering children. Bacon butty afterwards was just what I deserved!

In short: Excellent - Challenging course but well worth doing
In full: It was extremely well organised with everything I would expect from a top notch race but also managed to make it really friendly and inclusive. From the tea, coffee and cake offerings, the wonderful reading and blessing from the vicar and EVEN the commentary from the people behind the microphone, everything added together to make it a great day.

In short: Exactly as it says on the tin, Hilly! Great run, beautiful scenery and fantastic community feel.
In full: A mixture of road, hill and cross country running. Hard work on the calf muscles, hill practise recommended!

In short: A great race in the countryside.
In full: Yes the course is challenging, but very rewarding when you finish, and the hills aren't that bad! Great organisation, and lots of little touches that make this a great race. Thanks to everyone who organised and helped.

In short: Fantastic, friendly race in wonderful scenery
In full: This race was fantastic - the hill at 4-5k was hard work, especially for us non-hilly types. However, after 8k I thought it was flat to the finish so off i sprinted, which made the little hill at the end far worse!!

What really made this for me though was the great support all the way round the course. It seemed like everybody from the four villages was either running or supporting - even up in the woods there was plenty of support. Coupled with the great weather and scenery, this was my favourite of 2011 to date - well done to the organisers!

In short: Great race, amazing location, run very efficiently with a wonderfully English village feel to it,. The support during the race was wonderful and the bacon but ties afterwards were heaven sent, great scenery but prepare for a couple of climbs.
