In short: Ah, Cheshire...home of so many bleedin' country stiles......
In full: well, we were lucky with the weather after the torrential downpour of the previous night. That certainly filled up the paddy fields :) Many thanks to SCH marshalls and their runners who tried to marshall as well. I think the clocks going back may have accounted for lack of marshalls but that didn't detract from my enjoyment. Loved the beer afterwards, thanks. The course was flat but muddy, and yet quite challenging at the same time. Well done and thanks again folks.

In short: Mud Glorious Mud
In full: I've never seen so much mud after last nights rain.

However, the race was excellent. The marshals very welcoming and encouraging and the goody back had a nice touch of real ale inside.

Overall an excellent little race that I hope goes from strength to strength.

The only problem is that is goes up against three half marathons, Snowdon, Beachy Head, Dublin and the Great South Run in the same weekend.

Maybe a move to the previous weekend would ensure a bigger turn out next year, but on the other hand the numbers were just right.

In short: Lovely race through the cheshire countryside
In full: Great run mainly off road, along farm tracks and public footpaths. Very muddy in places due to the heavy rain, but great fun. The course was undulating and the marshalls encouraging. The race was escellent value at £8. The goody bag included a bottle of real ale and a pedometer amongst other things.
