In short: Chip timing - but where are the results?
In full: I don't understand why it's taking so long to publish the results... Doesn't chip timing mean they're instantly recorded? Parkrun get their results up in hours, without chip timing - it's free and all done by volunteers.

That bug bear aside. A good, well organised race. It's a small set up, hundreds not thousands racing but it attracts speedy athletes.

Goodie bags were recycled from 2010! Definitely disappointing there wasn't enough stock for everyone! No Lucosade and only a handful of water bottles left when I finished, under 32mins.

In short: Where,s my Goody bag???
In full: I entered this on the spur of the moment, I wish i,d kept my £14 in my pocket-Agree with the previous poster, So disappointing to finish at the back and not get a goody bag-It,s awful to have to say this, But how can i put it, One of the Refreshment Staff could have paid a little bit more attention to their personal hygeine, Put me right off buying a cake-i will not return.

In short: Be fast to get a goody bag!
In full: Very pleasant route around Victoria Park. Nice and flat and definite PB potential, though the figure of 8 course was a bit confusing, Some runners almost went astray despite helpful marshalls. However, I was disappointed that there weren't enough goody to go round - they had run out by the time those of us at the back finished, and no water at the finish line either. I know we don't just run for goody bags but for those of us with no chance of winning its's nice to have some momento of a race (and they were proper kit bags too, so worth having). A bit of a disappointing finish to an otherwise great race.

In short: Astonishing race with internationals as well as beginners - fabulous!
In full: I entered this as my first race, six weeks after starting to run. It was a massive challenge at the time, but it was fantastic to be able to run in the same event as internationals finishing in less than half my time. Friendly, superbly organised, and tea and cake afterwards. Hard to better this, really.

In short: Superb elite race that doesn't make beginners feel unwelcome
In full: This was my first race after training for six weeks. It's definitely an elite event, with a big prize pot for the fastest male and female. The winning times were international standard. Despite this, I felt very welcome as a complete beginner and there were perhaps 20% of the runners at the slow end of the spectrum.

In short: Excellent race and organisation, as ever...
In full: Fast and flat, lots of top runners, excellent organisation - and food - make this a great race in pleasant park scenery, even of you're slow like me... Nice quality water bottle momento, too. Ran it in 2010 and will be there next year too.

In short: Nice flat course but elitey
In full: This was my fourth time racing in this park, though first time for this event. The 1k first prize attracked a lot of top runners, making the race not very beginner friendly. I ran a respectable 46mins, and yet was almost last - whereas in a charity race i would have been towards the middle or slightly in the front half of finishers.
In terms of the organisation and course. Fantastic. Very efficient and crossover point (course is 2x figure of eight laps) was handled very well.
I will do this race again, but it is a lonely place at the back. Will have to get faster :)
Nice little metal water bottle for all finishers was a good touch too.
Overall for me an average race and i didnt find it very beginner friendly, but if you're a faster runner, this is where its at - fast well marshalled course with good prizes

In short: Excellent Race
In full: Lovely run through Victoria Park, excellent organisation and marshalling and the food is first class! PB potential almost guaranteed on this fast flat race.
