In short: Great race in beautiful surroundings!
In full: The Dentdale 14 is a great race in magnificent surroundings. The organisation is excellent: from the friendly car parking officials, the stoic marshals smiling and cheering in the freezing rain to the scrumptious home made tea at the end. Although the weather was miserable, I cannot fault this race. Yes, the route is quite challenging, but it's definitely doable. It's the second time I've done it and I hope not the last. A massive thank you to all the organisers and marshals!

In short: A gem of a race
In full: Why do thousands of runners flock to big city races when there are races like Dentdale all over the country.Arrived early parked 50 yards from the start and school where we were fed and watered after the race.No queues for anything, beutiful part of the world, even the wind and snow did not put a dampner on the whole feelgood factor of the event. All for £12 bargain!!!

In short: One of the most beautiful races ever!
In full: This was my first time for the Dentdale 14 and I was very pleasantly surprised. The organisation was superb, the scenery breathtaking and the home made tea at the end, served by very nice friendly ladies, was a lovely touch. There was great support from locals all the way round which helped over the "undulations"!! I'd thoroughly recommend this race to anybody, especially if you're used to city racing (as I am) when you have to queue for everything, especially the loos!!!

In short: Much flatter than I expected
In full: What hills there were helped to break up the run a little, but surprisingley flat - good to get a PB. I knocked 5 minutes off my previous half marathon time and then finished with decline into Dent for the last mile

In short: The joy of hills....sorry, "undulations".
In full: A really nice race. Small, friendly. There seemed something quirky about it - whether it was the distance, or the cake, or the setting I don't know. The marshalls and occasional spectators were encouraging and friendly. The hills were tough in part (I would call that more than "undulating" as this web-site does, but perhaps I'm not used to "real" hills - this is what comes of being raised in Lincolnshire) but really, really rewarding. All round, the race gave a rewarding feeling, and people seemed to care that you were there, doing it, in their village. No "goody bag" as such, but free coffee and cake at the end, and very reasonably priced T-shirts for those of us that like souvenirs (I do). The race cost just over a tenner and just the thought given to feeding you carbs and caffeine at the end is a nice touch.

You should try it. Maybe see you there.

In short: Beautiful scenery
In full: Never been to Dent before but it's a lovely little place. Cracking route with a few small hills. Course is liable to flooding which meant having to splash through lots of puddles which I did not enjoy but everything else was great. Good idea to provide the food and cups of tea afterwards (very nice cake) as it keeps people there for prize presentation.

In short: Great scenery, great organisation, very friendly and superheroes to boot. Quite happy with my position knowing that the race was won by Spiderman, closely followed by Superman and He-Man!! Thank you to the organisers for another great race.
