In short: Great short race for mixed abilities
In full: The Aylesbury 5K was superbly well organised again and, for me, the arrangements are perfect for the occasion; not too long, generally very quick, starting time is good, marshalling is very good, parking and pre-race stuff excellent. don't miss it!

In short: Great fun, loved it...but no dogs please!
In full: Really freindly, reasonably priced and well organised Boxing Day race, pleasant setting and well supported. My only compliant was that dogs were allowed to accompany runners - when a dog suddenly stopped to do a 'Paula' on the route it caused a pile up of runners behind it and we had to remember to dodge the resulting 'christmas log' for the next few laps! Yuck. Otherwise, fab race and I will be back. Thanks!

In short: First race and everyone made me welcome, Thanks to all who organised and managed it.
In full: This was my first race for about 20 years and entered a few weeks ago on the spur of the moment. Arrived early and parked in the multi-storey; was it a bank holiday? Didn't want to risk the £50 fine so paid up (stilla cheap day).
Found race HQ in the slug and lettuce (what a great HQ). No queue as I had booked on-line. Decided to do a warm up but got talking to another runner and ended up doing the big lap. Race started on time, held back and then just folowed runners who were doing about the speed I thought I should be doing. Started passing a few then a few more; made me feel good. Vazstle street is a killer the third time up it. Missed the top 100 by loads but felt elation for having finished without stopping. Can't wait for official time as in my joy I forgot to stop my stopwatch; all I know is I beat 29 minutes.

In short: A great way to make yourself feel better after overindulgence the day before !
In full: A brilliant way to burn off that 2nd helping of christmas pud! 5k (or just over)around the town centre of Aylesbury, the marshalling could have been better... an unfortunate lady was allowed to stroll across the route only to be engulfed by the entire field, also there was some confusion at the finish when a marshal attempted to rugby tackle the leaders to make them do another lap! After a few choice words they were allowed to finish.. but the marshal should have been able to distinguish between the 5 Min/Mi leaders and a fun runner dressed as rudolph the red nosed reindeer?! Nethertheless thank you to everyone who got out of bed early on Boxing Day to help out!
A good race with the potential to be a great one.

In short: Great race, well managed and sunny too!
In full: Many club runners, but a fair mix - fine for penguins like me at the back!
Well organised and good use of the 'Slug and Lettuce' hostelry for collection of race numbers and a general warm up! Worth completing for a nice post-xmas glow!
