In short: Well organised and marshalled event
In full: Excellent well organised and marshalled event. Plenty of per and post race facilities with excellent nearby car parking. Very flat course with great PB potential.

In short: Good early season PB potential.
In full: There was a good buzz for this fast five miler. Well organised with plenty of friendly marshals, chip timing and a great PA system so everyone could here the starter for once. PB for me!

In short: Well worth turning out in the snow for
In full: The snow didn't have much effect (I wore fell shoes), so well done to the organisers for not cancelling, and for all their extra work to clear the ground. I really enjoyed the race, and the snow made it a bit of an adventure. Organisation and marshalling were excellent.

In short: fast and friendly
In full: There was a great deal of online maoning about this race not being called off. Yes, there was snow, yes it was slushy, but well over 500 people were haoppy to race.
Really enjoyed this - and will return next year to try again- hopefully without snow.
Thanks to marshalls and organisers for a fast and friendly race!

In short: Snowy, slushy and surprisingly speedy.
In full: I really felt for the organisers of this race as they were in a no win situation. If the cancel people moan and if they don't people still moan!

This is the 3rd time I've done this race and there's always a buzz about it as it's the first NSRRA race.

Ok it was a bit slushy but it wasn't icy at all so I think the right decision was made. My race went well and amazingly I got a PB and beat last year's time by 50 seconds. I know lots of people who got PB's today so the conditions couldn't have been that bad.

I'll be back again next year, snow or no snow!!

In short: Fun, Fast and Frozen!
In full: Enjoyed this well organised run around the streets. Snow on the ground made the first couple of miles tough for me but found my feet to finish strong. Good atmosphere and well marshalled.

In short: Good PB course
In full: A good reasonably flat race but lack of fitness and the wind stopped me this year. Start is always quite hectic!

In short: Well organised, flat, but more than 5 miles?
In full: Shame about the wind! Pancake flat making it a definite for PBs. A little confusing at the start as to how far it was from the leisure centre to the start line having not done the race before.

Possibly innaccurate measurement? Garmin measured 5.08m, and looking on map my run website, where I have marked the start and finish points taken from my garmin (yes its a bit geeky!), it measured there as 5.18m. Whilst none will be as accurate as a Jones wheel counter, neither will be far off. The extra distance on mapmyrun will be due to not taking each corner at the apex I guess, but the satellite points will be pretty darn accurate for the start and finish line.
