In short: Unique experience with great views
In full: Don't forget to call out and greet stray toursits as you run through London. A slightly better goodie bag would have been nice and it was disappointing that there were no special offers for 'Sister Act' in the goodie bag.

In full: Despite the weather, it was fun, with a good atmosphere.
Don't treat it as a race though - this is definitely a fun run!

In short: Wet and seemingly a budget version of last year's outstanding event
In full: The weather made a huge difference to this year's race and I felt it appropriately dampened the atmosphere compared to last year's race which was totally amazing. We didn't hear the starting announcements - we walked towards the start line after seeing some nuns go and realised we'd started which was very odd and without the build up to it we didn't get that burst of adrenaline.

The storage was terrible. I ended up running with my rucksack on my back where my RB and I had stored our valuables leaving the other stuff in the canopy which my friend having bought a v expensive designer bag was horrified to leave, piled onto everyone else's and left unattended! I guess the bad weather was a blessing - kept the thieves indoors :o)

By the time we went there (admittedly about 9.30) there were no medium habits left. It would have been useful to have a size option on the application form so the organisers could order appropriately and the not leave the runners wearing tents.

The race itself is lovely going right along the Thames and Southbank. I just pray (ha!) that the weather is better next year as it is a cracker of a race. I had no problem with spacing on the pavement - and its not possible to run this as a serious race anyway given the route it follows.

In short: Great atmosphere, interesting route, brilliant fun, terrible weather and the most insecure 'secure storage area' I've ever come across
In full: Despite the torrential rain, strong winds and bitter cold I enjoyed every second of the run! I love fancy dress runs and this is my hands down favourite. Yes, even in such horrible weather!

The turn-out was lower than 2009, as you'd expect given the weather conditions but the people who made it, made it special. Great atmosphere both before the race and along the route.

My only complaint was the lack of secure storage. The small marquee set aside for the purpose was anything but secure! Okay, the organisers can be forgiven for not bargaining on the rain that left the storage area sopping wet, but they could have foreseen how vulnerable the area was to opportunistic thieves. I don't know of anyone who had their bag stolen, but then again, I saw quite a few people (myself included) change their minds about leaving their bags there at all because anyone could just walk in and rummage around! Luckily I had a husband in tow who dragged my bag around with him while I ran, but if I didn't been on my own I would have had to forfeit the idea of running rather than risk losing my belongings.

In short: Never laughed so much!
In full: The most fun I've ever had running. I laughed all the way round. Definitely worth entering. Excellent race for beginners. And for confusing tourists.

Only down side for me was that it seemed more of an advert for Sister Act than a charity run for Barnardos but its still the best run I've ever done.

In short: 2009 was better
In full: .... ok the weather was poor for 2010, but the organisation seemed even more of a washout than the weather ....

Main criticisms:

* No mile markers - for the beginners this must have been a nightmare; having done the run last year I pretty much knew the route and how far it was;

* 'secure' bag storage - well it was an unmanned 'mini marquee' - if I had known how unsecure it was, I would not have left anything behind, also bags ended up in mud .... my dry clothes that I should have changed into at the end, were 'wrung out' outside Starbucks to the amusement of other drinkers!

* too many runners for the narrow pathways on the north side of the river, no phased starts as we were promised.

Plus points:

* fun to run as a nun .... fellow 'sisters' enjoying the banter and the 'extra' effort some of us put in ... yeah I was one of the 2 in blonde wig and fishnets!

* the choir at the start kept the spirit up, despite the poor weather!

I think the organisers need to look at numbers of runners and whether the route really is suitable for the numbers ....
