In short: Plenty of mud, miles of it 16mile race In full: Well to start with the reg'n was good, also 2 water stops good, but after that it was rather poor. the course markings were very poor with people making mistakes, and a runner who was with me missed a turning because there man had not arrived to fit the marker and this made him lose is lead in the race. I arrived at the fin line with a big white van parked, blocking the entrance to the hall where you had to time in, I was redirected back to the hall and my number was taken, when results where posted I was not on list,(put as not completed)they said they had been very hectic, I had come in on my own, at 65 after all that effort to have it ruined is a farce. Results no ages given to see how you'v done, it made me feel they only do the min,and are only interestd in the school fund. Could do better. Date of review: March 20, 2010

In short: Thanks again, Harby - a great day out! In full: Once again, this was a really enjoyable day out, with lots of cakes and other goodies at the checkpoints, as well as soup and pud at the finish. Great preparation for the Grizzly next week, loads of mud. The weather was so much better than forecast so the day was brilliant. Thanks to everyone who has been involved. See you again next year. In short: Good prep for London. Very enjoyable and relaxed race... In full: Disappointed with some of the markers... Course wasnt marked/taped of properly at the finish. Marshall was late taping off the course at the crossroads..
Would suggest a few more signs for the turn-offs and a few more marshals out on the course.
Great event though. Date of review: March 1, 2010

In short: Quality event would recommend it to anybody who likes to escape to the country. In full: Did the 26 mile option, although very hard, I really enjoyed taking part. Can't speak highly enough of the organisers and all the helpers they did a great job. For anybody who enjoys getting away from built up areas to run this is the event for you.
