In short: Does exactly what it says on the tin
In full: I really liked this race. Well organised, plenty of parking and toilets, friendly runners, some good support from marshalls and a quick course.

In short: Not a great atmosphere and course length needs checking!
In full: Could just be me but i have a distinct feeling the course was about 400m longer than 10k! Be interested to know if others agree/disagree?

In short: Flatness is not all its cracked up to be
In full: Don't get me wrong, this is a really well organised event and I have enjoyed other events that these people have organised at Morton Morrell. Understandably the organisers sell this one on the basis that a flat course has more PB potential. However, having completed it I have to say that I found the flat, bleak course with four repetitious laps and lots of out-and-back sections quite unmotivating. I don't know whether that was why I did not achieve a PB, perhaps I am making excuses, but I feel that with nicer scenary, some gentle ups and rewarding downs I might have done better.

In short: Repetitiive, no atmosphere, very average
In full: did the half marathon option which consisted of four laps of the same circuit. The finish was poor due to you having to run up and down the same stretch 3 times. Given the number of runners little support will not enter this event again.

In short: Really well organised fun day
In full: Although the scenery was a little on the boring side, I was expecting that having read the previous reviews. What I wasn't expecting was the fantastic organisation. Loads of parking, easy to find, lots of marshalls. It was fun having everyone on the same course, though finishing the 10k race at the same time as the half marathon winner was a bit gutting! Not the most exciting course but great for beginners. Loved it and will be back again next year.

In short: unique race felt like a racing car in trainers
In full: well organised event.great parking and unique venue. Ok the scenery was a bit dull but it was a race track. If you want a PB this is a must, though the breeze and turning angles on the course could slow you a bit. I found the race friendly and it would be hard to fault it.Cheap to enter.Really good day out. Will certainly be back

In short: Good PB potential - shame about the atmosphere
In full: Overall average race.
At times psychologically difficult - no crowd enthusiasm (tends to be what drives you fast the last mile)! I was only doing the 10k - felt for all the half marathoners out there!
Airfield location was different for me although I probably wouldn’t do that style race again – love my cross country too much.
Important features for me:
Parking - Great and close by to race HQ
Toilets - Again lots of them and close to race HQ
Goody bag - was a bit rushed in queue so didn't pick up all flyer's etc and sweets! Loved the fruit at the end and medal was nice.
Price - Nice and cheap, that's why I did it!

Although the PB potential was there (ie long flat course), it would have been helped by crowd encouragement.

In short: Great value, flat, multi-option event which appeals to all levels of runners
In full: With the option of a 5k, 10k or a Half Marathon this is a great race no matter what your running level is. I did the Half Marathon and the fast flat course gave me a new PB time. With an entry fee of £12 with chip timing and a nice medal at the end I thought it was excellent value. Well done to the organisers. I'll be back to run this again in the future.

In short: Absolutely flat, race on tarmac. Kids fun run 1km before the start. Quick course, good for PBs
