In short: A well organised event, rather challenging course, good support
In full: Race was extremely well organised, a scenic course took away some of the pain of the hills. Great support from the marshalls who were very efficient and the locals who were always friendly and encouraging. My first half marathon for 17 years. Great T-shirt at the end, so much better than a useless medal!
I hope to be back next year. Many thanks to the organisers for a great race.

In short: As always one of the best, if not the best HM in the North
In full: Third year running I've done this race and despite getting progressively slower I enjoy it more and more. Faultless organisation, great atmosphere, very friendly, great T-shirt, some stunning scenery etc etc etc. Certainly one of, if not the best HM in the North. A country mile better than the Wilmslow HM. Probably only Helsby Four Villages is the only other one that can compete with Macc. Roll on next year.

In short: Had a good race, the hills near the 8 mile point hurt though!
In full: Very enjoyable altogether and the scenery at some points is stunning, however if you don't like hills then I wouldn't recommend it!

In short: I thought this was supposed to be EASIER than Leek !!
In full: Maybe I just had a bad day, 7 or 8 mins of my usual time, even for an undulating course, but I can't fault the rest...scenic, great atmosphere, well organised and marshalled, and supported. Missed GNR first time for 3 years, but this made up for it !
