In short: Wonderful weather for a wonderful race!
In full: This race starts and finishes at Trevornick Holiday Park, Holywell Bay and heads out to Cubert Common, taking in coast paths, surrounding trails and even a stretch of beach.

I set out with much trepidation, having listened to various runners' stories about the course, i.e it's hilly, it's mega tough etc. However, it was the perfect day for a race like this - sunny, but not baking hot.

The organisation at the start was spot on and ran like clockwork. The race itself was very tough if you're a "back of the pack" runner like me, with quad sapping steep hills but what a feeling of achievement when I had finished! When you cross that finish line you instantly forget all the pain.

There were marshals everywhere on the course, giving much needed encouragement all the way round.

This is trail running as it should be! Everyone should run it at least once!

In short: A great route in a great setting, greatly helped by the many marshals out in that wind! Thanks.

In short: Cracking off-road run - more races like this in Cornwall please!
In full: A tough challenge, both with the terrain and the weather to match.
The first 2.5 miles are all flat or downhill before you hit the first of many uphills. The ground is rough and uneven which makes the hills twice as hard as if they were on the road.
A nice run across the beach, climbing (literally for some) up the coastal paths and fields whilst looking out on amazing scenery makes this a fantastic race.

The venue is good for those who have partners left behind looking after children as their is a good park as well as a small theme park with some rides for older children.

Organisation is spot on. Plenty of marshals, lots of smiling faces and a clearly marked course.

The weather today was very windy and at one point included driving hail which hammered into you and tried to push you backwards!

I shall be back. My only wish is that there were more off-road races of this calibre in Cornwall. Why, in an area with such outstanding beauty, there are so many road races I'll never know.

In short: Fantastic race
In full: Friends who had done this last year said never again so I was expecting the worst, as it turns out this course was brilliant, especially if you want something different and you like a challenge. Absolutely LOVED it and will be back, with others too. Well done NRR.

In short: Loved it!
In full: Thank you Newquay Road Runners for superb organisation of a great race in such a great spot. Even free hot showers at the end! I'm sure you will get many more runners next year once the word spreads. Thanks again.

In short: Beautifully organised - for runners and spectators. Lovely area, a totally different run.
In full: Perhaps the glorious weather helped, but all seemed to go like clockwork - though the heart didn't as one tackled the 4th major sandy climb from the beach - but that's running. Nice souvenir glass, lots of goodies, plenty of age prizes, well organised - the search and rescue instead of St John's was probably a good idea! Even a toilet and shower block. Thanks Newquay Runners.

In short: Brilliant, Fantastic, Superb, Phenomenal, etc
In full: Should be featured in your magazine as a 'Rave Run' and credit given to the organising team at Newquay Roadrunners. Plenty of photos and comments/feedback on their website.
