In short: Fabulous!
In full: Brilliant! Loads of mud, friendly marshalls and lovely scenery. It wouldn't have been the same without the rain and mud, a true cross country race!

In short: Mud glorious mud!
In full: Very tough going in the mud and surface water. My legs were all over the shop slipping in the mud. Once I got over the shock of how bad the course was I got on with it and enjoyed the 2nd lap. A very satisfying saturday morning run. Thank you Tamworth AC.

In short: Unlucky with the weather.
In full: Would have been lovely if dry underfoot. I wasn't aware quite how much of the course was on soft going.

In short: Challenging muddy course with great organisation
In full: Just to reiterate, it was very muddy! At least the rain stopped towards the end of the race....although by the second lap the steep muddy bits had got even more slippery!

Very enjoyable, but tough, race and seemed to be well organised. Only things I could think of for improvement were for the race starter to get a megaphone so everyone can hear race instructions and to reposition the water station (11km stop is not much use imo).

The cafe on the park near the finish was nice for some post race drinks/cake and a nice tap nearby for washing of a majority of the mud was particularly useful!

In short: Very Muddy and Slippy.
In full: First real muddy run I have done, it caught me out and I found this very challenging, but worth the experience, nice t shirt at end.
