In short: Its the participants who make this race so special. Only those with a genuine love of the mountains take part. In full: Shouldnt really rate my own event, but really I'm rating the 90 participants- brilliant! Thanks for supporting the race, thanks for pitting yourselves against our mountains, and thanks for supporting each other and creating such a lovely atmosphere.Come Again! In short: Brings to mind that old saying "Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional" the final hill would be comical if it wasn't so painful. In full: A great race up three big hills, the first two runnable the last one barely even walkable. Some people will complain about having to arrange lifts from registration to start, lack of directions & marshalling through Abergavenny and the final half mile through Blaenafon (and the Abergavenny section was through the worst bit of the town) but just get over it! - it was worth it! A proper fell race - starting in a small village in the Beacons, ending in a Rugby club in the Valleys. Stunning scenery on the way. And what a welcome at the finish - hot showers, huge FREE buffet with cakes. If you like running in hills and mountains make it a date for 2010.
In short: A big thanks to all this year's entrants. In full: Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the race. Brilliant runners, heroes! Well done to you all. Christine Vorres. Date of review: April 4, 2009
