In short: Typically smooth and professional organisation makes this an ideal 10k for the novice. As 2009 was the first event, crowds, while vocal, were a bit thin. I'm sure this will change over the next few years. As its on my doorstep, i'll certainly be

In short: Fast course, well organised race
In full: Fast enjoyable course that showcases Sunderland. Timing is great for those doing the Great North Run. Warm up was great at the start and I enjoyed it - a well organised run and whether you are a Sunderland fan or not, it's something special to walk through the Stadium at the end!

In short: Got a PB (44 min) so good race for me.
In full: I was a but put off when the orange numbers were merged into the elite runners for the start, its the first time I have been 6 deep to the start line. Decent setting for start and finish but a bit boring round the course. Goody bag good with nice T shirt. Staff at The Stadium Of Light were very helpful and allowed us to change our 18 month old Daughter in the players lounge as no baby changing facilities.
Will definately do it again, just up the road for me too, only 30 minutes from good old Teesside.
See you next year.

In short: good, well organised run,
In full: good organisation except no one knew where the toilets were and while the 'wave start' was helpful the course was narrow and I found my self hopping round people for a lot of the course. otherwise it was great. thanks to all the volunters who were there!
