In short: stunning scenery, well organised, needs more runners :-)
In full: Very well organised, great venue, stunning route, really worth travelling a bit for. the coffee/tea+sausages that were available to purchase after were also great.
yes the up hills feel endless, but that's part of the fun, there's a nice view form the top, and the drop throught the woods + final valley is perfect. If you don't run, do the 5k walk, you'll love it. Most of the route is on private land, closed to the public apart from race day.
The Major's pre-race brief was fun+unique too, as was the start "landrover horn" bit different to boring guns/airhorns.

In short: Great event, well organised and an excellent route.
In full: This event deserves to have a bigger turn out. The route is quite tough but that is made up for by the beautiful scenery and the mixture of surroundings as you are running. Very well organised. Good to be able to hear the instructions at the start and a very nice water bottle as a momento at the end.

In short: Well organised, beautiful scenery
In full: Challenging, mostly off-road 10k, with some challenging hills. Very well organised, marshalled (2 water stops) and signed. Great atmosphere at the start and finish, and beautiful views along the way. Highly recommended - thanks to the organisers for a great event.

In short: nice friendly low-key village race
In full: what a lovely friendly low-key race.
Had the option of a 5k or 10k which was ideal as organisers more than happy for the non-runners of the family to walk the 5 route and end up finishing around the same time as the 10 runners.
tough race though, couple of very long hills but at least there were also the downs to compensate - virtually all the race held on traffic free gravel or farm tracks
